I know he was suspended for a half against Troy and now he has lost his starting spot.

Most likely you're right that day did something. Hopefully Dylan earned it though

he wouldn't snap the ball when the defense would jump over the line

he might be moving to guard....

he might be moving to guard....

I hope like hell this is the reason. Otherwise Hevesy and Mullen have both completely lost their minds

I'd go along with this...

I noticed him playing center the second drive of the game. I forgot to check the first drive

I said back when Malone got hurt I thought Day at Guard and Holly at Center was the best way to go..

Didn't Ben Beckwith get hurt?

Didn't Ben Beckwith get hurt?

Yes, although he came off under his own power. Hopefully it's minor. Or you could visit For Whom The Cowbell Tolls and check out my weekly Armchair QB where I noted Beckwith's injury.

As for Day, he started and played the majority of the game. Don't know why Holley was on the Moo Tube as starter.

Depth chart has Day at backup center and Beckwith starting at guard.

In the 4th Q, Beckwith did get hurt and Day plays RG for the rest of the game, I believe.

Is that still the depth chart from the Troy game when Day was suspended? In that game, Holley started and Beckwith started, while Day was listed at backup Center.

Holley did not play until Beckwith went down in the 4th quarter.

Day has a broke left hand

Really? Damn, I didn't know that. Is that not going to really mess him up being a center and all? I'm no doctor, but snapping a football with one hand and having the other on the ground really requires two working hands one would think.

Thanks for the info

watch the games closely at the Line of scrimmage... Dylan Holley and Beckwith both are blocking better than Dillon day IMHO.

He played Saturday with it. No big deal for a center as long as it's not his natural snapping hand. Hell it's actually better if you have a mean streak like he does and can use it as a weapon.

I thought Holley started as center against Troy because that is who Dak practiced with primarily and Dak felt more comfortable with him.

I had heard that Day was suspended for a half, but that may or may not have been true

Day was suspended against Troy for the first half. That's why he didn't start.

He shouldn't get any holding calls over the next few weeks.

Additionally, I don't think the Depth Chart has been updated since Troy. The participation list from the Media Department has that Day started against LSU.

Yea, his comment about Holley and Beckwith being better than Day is just silly.

THIS, Dillon Day didn't lose his spot, hes just sliding over to OG to replace Ben Beckwith who is out with an injury.

Holley is a Senior and has never started unless Day is hurt/suspended. Day is a Junior and started over Holley last year. I don't think you know what you're talking about....no offense.
