Oregon was 4-8 before he got there; they were 7-5 in his first and only year. Taggart turned around dumpster fires at wku and USF. Fsu is not nearly in as bad a shape as his previous 3 stops. He is an elite recruiter at an elite school... Taggart is gonna kill it at fsu

You're too high on him. He's not going to do as well as the last two FSU coaches which means he'll probably get fired cause FSU has been spoiled for a long time. He doesn't have an easy job if he wants to keep it. Oh and winning 7 games at Oregon with Phil Knight donating 500 million dollar football buildings and giving them 300 uniform combos isn't impressive. That's like saying Ed Orgeron went 7-5 at LSU.

He recruited better in that 1 year than Chip or Helfreich did.
ETA: Oregon was also 4-1 until they're starting QB & backup QB was injured in the same game. They had to go to a True Freshman who was RS. They lost 3 in a row but recovered to win 3 out of their last 4 regular season games. He did a good job last year.

Sure he did a good job. Ok. He's walking into mandatory NCs expectations. It's Florida State. They aren't going to accept hovering around 8-5 every year. They'll be alright with it for a bit but they have every bit as high of expectations as Florida does. Just watch.
