If Lamar doesn't come back can we still get this guy or are there any other names we'd go after?

First, this is Memphis, for everyone's info.

Second, no, we're not going to get him.

Third, Lamar Peters will be back.

I was hoping this kid would commit soon so we would stop hearing everyone ask if there is still a chance we get him....looks like even with a commit people will continue to ask.

I agree, and really hope he will.

What's wrong with asking about contingencies?

As much as Penny is worshiped around Memphis, will it be hard to get guys from there now? I have no clue about his actual coaching and development skills but he definitely has name recognition.

Penny will only take the top 2-4 players in the metro area every year. That's all he needs to do. In other words, just get the cream of the cream. After that there are still enough quality D-1 players in Memphis to fully support 4-5 D-1 teams with enough talent to make the Dance every year.
