View Full Version : Didn't know catchers were wired up with their pitching coaches....

....Was watching a replay of the Auburn at Arkansas game and the Pigs pitching coach, W. Johnson, was talking to his catcher the way football coaches talk to their QB thru a helmet that's wired up to call plays in. Didn't know that was being done in college baseball. Good idea as the pitching coach does not have to signal in the pitches and take a chance the opponent figures it out. I guess Henderson is doing this since he is and was the pitching coach before Canny & Lee were a thang.

I saw our catcher motion to the dugout for the signals and indicated his hearing aid wasn't working.

Bc i think signs are a part of the game. I like games to be faster but this is not one of the things i want. Giving signs are an integral part of the game.
