It's finally being shown, or will be after a few human interest stories by CBS, and a half hour of recapping ...

Who's going to win? I'll say Rory, kinda pulling for Ricky though. I think Reed will melt.

I think Patrick Reed tears up the course one more day for the green jacket

Spieth has birdied the first two holes. He may be making a move from way back. Probably not doable though.

Good grief! Bubba just putted INTO the bunker. Not as bad as it sounds I guess ... big breaker to the left and he had to putt through the fringe, but he put it a bit far to the right.

The final group is off to a shaky start ... Reed is almost up against a pine tree on the left, and Rory pushed his tee shot 30 degrees to the right and is lucky he's not out of bounds.

Greens are receptive, to win they are going to have to shoot 68 or better. It's going to be fun to watch.

Yeah, I think you're right. Looks like Tiger had a good day after the pressure was off.

I wonder how hard the course would be if they let the rough grow to US Open standards.

Rory has about 3 feet for an eagle on #2. Reed is in the bunker. Could easily be a 2 shot swing here, and Rory's only 3 behind.

Rory missed the eagle putt, but got a birdie. He's 2 behind now, and has gained two strokes in two holes. Spieth is still charging. Rahm is doing well too but tends to be a basket case under pressure.

Not me ... just watching golf. I don't really care that much about watching baseball.

RocketDawg

And the unlikely happens ... Reed birdies the third with a fortunate putt, and McIlroy bogeys with a huge mistake on approach. Back where they started with Reed ahead by 4.

You probably meant professionals, but I may have done it before; I really can't remember doing it if I have though. I've putted off the green several times. However, I've duffed innumerable shots trying to pitch over a bunker.

That set up really wouldn't work on that property, it's really not the intent of the founders of that place. Even with the elevation change on the property, which is dramatic, you really don't get the feel of it on TV, it plays very much like a links course. The real challenge is the green, the movement in them is awesome, I've stood on the front of 14 green and couldn't see the back collar.

no, I meant anybody. I may have putted off the green a time or two and seen others do the same. haven't tuned in yet. gonna have to see the replay.

They haven't been showing him much, but Paul Casey is having a stellar day. He's -9 on the day after 15 holes. Heading for a course record if he keeps it up.

9 under after 15 at Augusta is sick.

Thanks for the score. I don't particularly like to watch baseball, except when we're in the regionals or better, but I like to know how we're doing. It would be nice to take the series from the Bears. Or whatever they are these days ....

I've never been to the course, but yeah, it's phenomenal. And Casey is one of the good guys. I'm pulling for him to break the record. But ... he just bunkered his tee shot on 16.

the greens must still be cold and damp. allowing the guys to attack the hole.

The rain that came Sat really changed the greens, you can see it in the color they have different shades of green no browns and grays, they are very receptive, it's going to be a dart throwing contest on the back nine.

It's also quite cool, and the sun seems to be in and out. Greens won't dry out much.

Spieth 2 behind Reed now, but he just missed about a 5 foot eagle putt on 13. He's picked up 7 strokes on Reed today.

Spieth is only 1 back now, and it would have been tied but Reed made a 25 foot putt for birdie. Fowler only 2 back now. Spieth came up short of the pin on 16.

Spieth just made a HUGE birdie putt from at least 30 feet to tie. Getting really interesting. Reed almost hit his approach into the creek on 13 (I think), but still could birdie.

Edit: Reed came up 7 or 8 feet short on 13 with his pitch; gonna be a tough birdie.

Ha. Yeah. I'm a bit confused on the baseball game though. Thought we were ahead 3-2 going into the ninth, and now we're celebrating a tied game. Did the birds get 2 in the top of the ninth?

Reed has a fairly short birdie putt on 14. So does Spieth on 17, but it's twice as far away. Reed could take the lead back here.

Rahm just dumped one in the drink. Pretty much ruined any chance he had. Spieth had a crappy tee shot on 18 ... pulled it left and clipped a tree. Pretty far back. He might not even be able to get to the green.

Women's amateur the Sunday before the Masters. It will be a world women's amateur event with the first three rounds at club designed by Palmer, Nicklaus and Player. Champions something, then the final round at the national.

The biggest member event is just few weeks before the Masters anyway and it will be a very small field and for only one day at the end of advance week. The agronomy staff won't do anything out of the normal for that event. This event is in keeping with the ANGC continuing to promote amateur golf world wide. They are the driving force behind the Latin American amateur championship that allows that player a spot in the Masters field.

Women get to play at Augusta National? ****

all kidding aside, I found it quite ironic the first PGA player to greet the winner was the other asshole of the tour Bubba Watson. even though he's trying to clean up his allholedry of late.

I really hate it for Ricky Fowler. he is so class. I'll be pulling for him to win a major. He and Spieth are my favorites I pull for these days with the edge going to Spieth since I live in Fort Worth. I also like McIlroy. don't know why he gets occasional hate.

Bully13

oh, just a side note, Spieth starting playing at age 8. by the time he was 12, he shot a legit 62 at the country club in Dallas he grew up on.
