Our lineup is so disjointed. Think of how much better it would be if you just batted Stovall second. He doubled to lead off an inning instead of he could have doubled and scored Mangum. There are holes all up and down the lineup almost like it is by design. The numbers play it out too. Look how many hits we get and how many runs score and look at our average with runners in scoring position. You almost have to work to make this lineup look this bad.

Exactly. He has to start putting the best players out there- which is essentially Mangum, Stovall, and LA and then go with freshmen and Gilbert at the other positions. It's his fault this thing went to extra innings today. Bring in your closer with a clean inning and get the thing over with. There's ZERO reason to save him with a day or two off and our next game against a SWAC team where we can likely rest him anyway. He also needs to figure out that if JB is off in the first inning he is going to be off the rest of the time he is out there and get the bullpen up immediately.

There's ZERO reason to save him with a day or two off and our next game against a SWAC team where we can likely rest him anyway. True he had pitched well but he?s not a closer. Blake should?ve started the 9th. At the very least Blake should?ve come in after the first hit. It?s why you have middle relief guys and why you have pitchers that can close. It was a mistake but it worked out. Don?t ajways get that lucky.

Win against Alabama State and Memphis. Take two of three the rest of the series here on out. If we lose two series- we HAVE to win the Governor's Cup and Troy. If we lose one series we have to win one of the two between the Governor's Cup or Troy. If we get swept we have to win the other five series and the Governor's Cup and Troy.
