Mimi, I think today is the deadline for the NCAA committee to give their response to tsun's response. There is another waiting period to examine that. I think, if I remember right, I read on an UM board this could drag out to July or August.

This is the self inflicted death blow to the NCAA. Every school can now cheat their ass off and when they get caught if the NCAA tries to hand down a harsh sentence then that school sues for discrimination and unfair handing down of punishment.

Ole Miss filed the appeal on February 5. The deadline for the NCAA to respond was March 5. However, the NCAA used a 30-day extension to respond to the appeal. The deadline now for the NCAA's response is April 8. Then Ole Miss would have 14 days to submit its reply.

I don't think it matters, they are not going to be bowl eligible anyways. Plus it doesn't hurt recruiting.
