Well, he wasn't all that good this year, 2 years after departing MSU, for the first 75% of the season. Who's fault was that? The one primary thing he does much better now than he did with us as a FR is finish at the basket. He can now actually score when he drives whereas when he drove to the hoop for us as a FR it was an automatic miss if there was any defense in the vicinity.

Move on from Newman. He did not fit what Howland required. Give me Nick, 100% ball player. Great defender, a finisher, tough Mfer, and can score. Plus he is a leader. Some people don't fit the agenda, doesn't mean they aren't good players. They have the right string but the wrong yo-yo.
