View Full Version : Missouri in Top 25 is dumb

This is where college football is completely missing the boat. Missouri has broken into the top 25 after beating: Murray State, Toledo, Indiana, Arkansas State, and Vanderbilt. Is there anything in sports, other than no instant replay in MLB, dumber than the top 25 in college football?

Personally, after watching us last night, I think we could skull drag Missouri

Why not Missouri? They beat Vanderbilt the best opponent ole miss played when they were ranked.

Who should be there instead?

Nebraska? Notre Dame? Ole Miss? Lolno to all of those. Maybe Auburn, Missouri should be ahead of ranked teams like Northern Illinois and Fresno State, so I'd still have them in the top 25.

For whatever reason, there are only about 20 or so teams that deserve to be "ranked" right now, but they have to go all the way to 25.

Put them there untl they lose which will happen. Also with the manner they beat vandy they might be a 25 team. We will find out when they meet FL, SC and GA. I think they beat Ole Miss. Also as bad a A&M Defense is everyone will be have a chance. I don't think they win that one. They could end up 8 and 4 playing a big 10 team in Jacksonville.

When I saw that schedule before the season, I knew they would be 5-0. That schedule was easier then the one we had last year.

I do a top 25 each week with some friends. We feel pretty strongly that our rankings are better than the real ones. This was my "ballot" this week:

And I do apologize for #24 and #25, but there was just no one else to put in.

I think Baylor plays for the national championship this year.

Sometimes there aren't 25 good teams to put into the polls.....I think that's the situation that the pollsters are in right now.

What about MSU at 7-0 last year? Tennessee, Auburn, UK, and 4 patsies.
