Here's what I thought was a good interview with Mike Golic of ESPN. He gives his thoughts on post-career health programs of the NFL, and also of politics on the air at ESPN. I agree with what he said on both. He seems like a dude with his head screwed on straight. Should this be on the politics board? Maybe, but he's certainly a sports figure.

Meh. He dodged this question, "Do you think ESPN personalities taking political stances have hurt the network?s brand?" It was a yes or no question. Answer the question Mike.

Yeah, he did sorta sidestep it but I guess he doesn't want to get canned after 22 years. Gotta remain pretty loyal to the boss, or be prepared to hit the road, in the entertainment industry at least.

I still like his answer for the unasked question though.

No. I liked the Mike and Mike show in small doses though so the new one is probably pretty good.

Well that didn't take long, my last thread made it 90 seconds before the mods deleted it. That is just funny and sad. The main post is still stickey to the top and locked. LOL.

I don't think it's just the politics that hurt ESPN. I dislike the Tom Rinaldi bullshit sob stories that they have everyday and the crap where they focus on some player's parent or girlfriend the entire game as well. Dear ESPN- no one watches a game so that they can hear about some attention whore in the stands or watch some parent cheer their kid on.
