have y'all heard of this Japanese pitcher for the Angels? according to what I just saw on TV he will be DHing when he is not pitching. this is not been done since Babe Ruth did it. I find that
amazing and I'm pulling like hell for this guy. I think this is great for baseball.

Yeah...he had a gosh awful spring as well. They spent a ton of money on him so in sure hopin it's due to an adjustment period

They didn't DH in Babe Ruth's time did they? It's a relatively new thing started in the early 1970s unless I'm mistaken.

good point. without going to my book, I think the Babe was playing outfield when he wasn't pitching for the BOSOX.
