Wow. Unless you are one of the very few traditional powers that is very hard to do. Outstanding job by the coaches and players.

Amazing the shape these starters must be in. They play full out all the time and all of them play 35+ minutes. We basically get no bench scoring at all against quality competition.

Can't believe we made it this far with all his dumb ass decisions** credit to you though, when we lose next week it will be because he ran em to hard and you will come thumping your chest.

Holmes is a pretty good sub. Don't know how many she scored tonight but it was >0. Danberry looks pretty good at times too.

While Holmes, Danberry and Bibby can spell the starters for a few minutes none of them are really scoring threats. BIG dropoff in the scoring department when they are in. Holmes is the best sub we have and helps give Morgan a break but we play our starters to death because we have to.

Danberry is maybe the most athletic player on our team. She should get better and Coach Schaefer is really depending on her for next season.

Yes, she's athletic but she doesn't make perimeter shots. What makes our team so tough to deal with this year is that we have four starters around Big T that you can't back off of because they can all make perimeter shots. Holmes, Danberry and Bibby are all pretty low percentage shooters unless they are right at the basket.

Dude, Bibby can shoot. They see her shoot everyday. Danberry is a slasher and can get to the rack. The PG we redshirted can do it all and is a shooter. Don't worry about Jazz

We will be a lot taller team next year....and I expect a lot of improvement from Bibby and Danberry.

Bibby is a 41% shooter and is 33.3% from behind the arc. Try again.

I guess there's no better time than now to start questioning Vic's decision making skills***

Hopefully you don't ever make legitimate decisions as concerns our WBB program

Bibby makes a lot of shots. I've seen Holmes make quite a few jump shots (TBF, i haven't seen her statistics), and agreed on Danberry overall.

I think they could accomplish more if we relied on them more but those seniors demand minutes and usually do damn well with them.

The 96 men’s team had little quality depth.

Yes, this team very much reminds me of our 96 men's team as far as the rotations. Just hope our women's team doesn't fall off next year anything like our men's team did after losing all of those starters from the 96 Final Four team.

When was the last time we had two straight Omaha runs (1990’s), two straight BCS playoffs, or two straight men’s final-4s?

An incredibly impressive accomplishment

It was still a very successful season. We got more national recognition out of that than anything MSU athletics has ever done, till we hit #1 in football. The only other thing that comes close was beating UCONN last year.

Thats great. But we've had very successful seasons for a while now, its time to get a ring.

You could say this is the case in all of the big 3. Except mens hoops but we are getting there

I would say that beating UConn is the most well known of anything besides Thunder and Lightning. Clark and Palmeiro really has had more of an impact for the MLB careers they had than what they did at MSU. Pretty much anyone that follows athletics knows Mississippi State broke the 111 game streak. It is like the Miracle on Ice in 1980. Beating the Russians just got us into the gold medal game but that is the most famous.

It is weird because Morgan's shot is shown more than USCe winning the title.

Clark and Palmerio didn't actually bring that much attention to MSU, nota t the time. Women's basketball is still a pretty small market. Only a few places actually care. The Men's Final Four and being #1 in football are on a completely different level.

Us beating UCONN was the signature game of 2017- from the true Accomplishment perspective ... like Wisconsin beating undefeated Kentucky. They lost to Duke in the next game, but the big accomplishment was beating Kentucky

Germany destroying Brazil 7-1 in Belo Horizonte was the WC story in 2014. But fortunately for the Germans, they were able to also beat Argentina a few days later to actually win the trophy.

True statement, but the NCAA tournament helps dramatically with this. More timeouts and longer timeouts...gets everyone a little more rest. Plus the quarter break.

UCLA didn't go very deep on their bench yesterday either.

I can see the perspective of football and basketball being more publicity. Football had several SI Covers and it was pretty big news especially now that Dak is the face of the Cowboys. Men's Final Four is kind of debatable to me. I guess since we had never been there it was a special type of moment with us beating UK to win the SEC tourney. Beating UConn is up there with 1980 Bama on a big time National stage. We won an Espy for it and I think it will be one of those replays that you see every March for the next decade or so.

Clark and Raffy were definitely more well known after what they did in MLB. Raffy having Hall of Fame numbers but with the finger wag and Clark just having injury issues or he would have had the numbers also. It is kind of insane that we didn't win a National Title with both of those guys on the team for 3 years especially when you throw in Brantley and Thigpen. Has there ever been a baseball team with that kind of MLB talent that didn't win a Title? That is 4 guys who made the MLB Allstar game at some point of their career.
