Alliance of American Football. 8 team league, 12 week/game schedule, starts the week after the 2019 super bowl. Already has a TV contract with CBS. This has potential and they are starting it a year before the XFL.

By the end of the super bowl, I need a break from football. I think a league would be more successful before the nfl

I wish colleges would stagger their Spring practices from Feb-April and then play live scrimmages on TV every Saturday in March and April. Instead of a maroon-white game- we could scrimmage Boston College or somebody for our Spring Game.

Start them in Mid-March- 120 teams- 60 scrimmages. Have about 10 scrimmages per Saturday beginning in Mid-March

I wonder if this league is considering signing high school kids who've struggled in the class room. Maybe the NFL is behind this?

I agree. The new league will do just as well as the other new leagues we've seen over the years. Personally, I doubt they finish the first season.

It reminds me of years ago when the baseball players went on strike and they brought in replacement players. People started saying screw the major league players. We can have baseball with these guys. So I said, "There's this special thing called a Major League Play . . ."

Me too. During football season, I’m diehard football. Same in basketball and baseball.

Or a jamboree. I've always said that would be a blast in the spring. Ole Miss, State, Southern and Memphis or whatever. Rotate it between the four locations. Make it a party.

Yep, nothing like losing all hope of a successful football season when Ole Miss breaks your QB’s ankles in the Spring Jamboree as opposed to the regular season finale....

If the xfl has a 8 team league, maybe it could be like the AFC vs NFC thing. Form a new Superbowl simply called the championship.

If the xfl has a 8 team league, maybe it could be like the AFC vs NFC thing. Form a new Superbowl simply called the championship.

With American hyperbole it would be “the World Championship Game”... even if its RG3 vs Johnny Football as the opposing Championship QBs

1-18 with 11 k's looks like Tebow needs to hang up the baseball cleats, if someone let's him play QB he needs to take it.

He had a great 2017 for a guy 10 years removed from baseball and better than many high draft picks

He’s better than Bj Upton or a Dan Uggla by just having a pulse and a soul
