for an MSU team. Those teams had 26 wins. We are 23-11 although to be fair we did beat a D2 team. Still not too shabby. 2002 team had 27 wins.

What was the farthest Stans ever went in the NIT?

Pretty sure that team that made it to the final four of the NIT that lost to eventual NIT champ West Virginia. Or should I say West Virgina for those that remember.

Bury did win the preseason NIT same season he got fired. That's gotta be a first.

I remember beating Arizona in that Tournament, that’s the year we started 12-1 and went to Baylor and lost by 2. I still remember that game. And Kentucky game when we were beating the Anthony Davis UK team 41-28 at half and lost at the Hump.

Baylor home crowd today was muted considerably by the early 11 AM start. It was a good draw for us and still took everything we could muster to hold on. Don't think the Ville or Blue Raiders will have an inside game like Baylor, but they will have good all round teams regardless. Now, the crowds at the Ville' or Murfreesboro will be stout. Both will have their students in school and roaring.....I think, unless it's Spring Break. Yum or Murphy Center will both rock if they are full and will be much more hostile than at Baylor. When SEC teams come to the Boro', they usually pack in close to 12K right on top of you. And at Yum, I think they are close to 20K. Still got our work cut out for us to make it to MSG. You know the Blue Raiders will be especially pumped to welcome Kermit Jr.'s alma mater to their friendly confines!

Looks like it will be at the Ville'.....make sure we keep the big camel jockey off the boards and smell to see if the little white boy had onions for dinner and we should have a shot.

no- that was round 1 or 2

It was round 1. Stans' last year. Lost like 5 out 6 to end the regular season. Then got deep dicked by Georgia in the SECT to go 1 and done.

ETA. Nm...that game was against UMASS. I think the UNC loss was round 2, after beating Jackson St. in round 1.
