....just saw a ESPN special that Virginia has a 6'9" lady from Lagos, Nigeria who has some sweet moves around the basket. She's just a soph. and led the ACC in blocks. Her turn around jumper from about 10' is much smoother than McCowan's. Surprised Virginia is not totally dominating with this gal in the post.

Yeah, I saw that clip. Maybe he can get her to transfer.

John Reik disagrees.... but I think he was from Sudan.... but I do think Howland needs a Euro who can shoot on his team....

Nigeria is in Africa, not Europe. **

Isn't McCowan from Nigeria? And the tall gal we had a year or two ago (can't remember her name) was from Africa too as I recall.

We did, and beat them by 15 (I had to look it up). We also beat Oregon, the 2 seed in Spokane I think, by 11.

I saw or read someplace where there was a girl from Australia looking to come to the U.S. for college. Had played on their national team. Had visited UConn and somewhere else. UConn board was confident they would get her. I was hoping that since we had Bibby we?d check her out.
