We fall to #4 after our first loss of the season. Hopefully, it does not knock us out of the second #1 seed for the tourney.

We had the #1 seed locked up before we ever stepped on the court yesterday & in all likelihood the #2 overall seed locked up too.

UConn has lost exactly 6 in the last 6 years but only 2 in the last 5 years. They are 182-2 in the last five years.

We also lost to the #6 overall team. I could see us falling to #3 overall which still puts us playing UConn in the finals which is the important part. Louisville only has 2 losses and they beat a great Notre Dame team that now only has 3 losses. I actually think we should be the #2 overall but there really isn't any difference between #2 or #3 for the most part. As long as we don't fall to #4 which would put us playing UConn in the Final Four.

We should be #3, but we have not played well in the last two games. We've looked tired.

There is no such thing as the overall #2 seeds. It's strictly based off region for womens basketball.

Guy on ESPN yesterday said we had the #2 overall seed locked and would be in KC

Also said the win didn’t really help SC- as they were pretty much locked in to the last #2 seed that goes to the UConn regio

Hope it stays that way. Having those two in the same regional would be nice. Hopefully it’s on the other side from us.

You're right, but it's probably largely a timing thing. It just happened yesterday. And really, we didn't look very good .... We could hardly make a shot.

Since MSU and UConn have met the last two years in the tourney, I think the committee should separate us. Nobody wants to see the same teams play three years in a row. So they should put us on opposite sides where we can't play unless it's the championship game.
