I noticed Ado is not quite as aggressive as he started the season. Doesn't try to block EVERY shot now like he used to. Likely because he fouled out early quite a bit. Now, he seems to have adjusted his game and is staying in the game much longer.....and it is really helping us just to have him in the paint. Even if he doesn't get a block, he's causing opponents to change their shots and do things they're not comfortable with. If we can keep him and Holman in to the end, I think we have a good shot. LSU has some good players and it is going to be tough to come out of there with a win. When Datcher comes in, I'm not sure what he's gonna give us. Some times, he is sharp and very effective. Other times, lackadaisical and turnover prone. More reason to keep our bigs in the game!

My point is Howland has been harping all year long for players like Holman, Stapleton, and Q to block out. We have two losses on our record right now simply because we didn’t block out. Every game Howland says this after a loss a block out here and there and we would have won. Why do those guys refuse to block out? Of course next year if they don’t block out, their ass will be on the bench. This year we don’t have a choice.

What can you do when your supposed player leaders are the ones playing like shit? Player leadership and maturity have plagued us all year long. Not being able to concentrate on the little things. Players like Perry and Woodard (who Howland stated his best intangible is his leadership) will eat those minutes players like Holman , Q, and Stapleton are taking right now. They will have fear that if they screw up or play half assed they will come out of the game. Right now, that’s just not the case.

Oh yeah. We played decently to start out and then quit playing for six minutes and let them go on a 12-0 run that encompassed us being up by 3 21-18 to being down 30-21. It was very bad. Personally, we need our kids to have a player meeting and get rid of these shit attitudes. We seem to tank the most when we don’t get the calls we want from the officiating. The calls were definitely going against us. Have to play through that and not let it effect how we play.

We have the potential. We have now lost Malik, Kegler, and herard since howland took over. We really cannot afford to lose another of our higher rated players. We need to keep our top 7 this offseason, get stronger physically, and pray our incoming freshmen live up to the hype
