Intersting tidbit - the scale drawings used to build the the train in left field at Minute Maid and info on the color scheme were supplied to the design team of the park by yours truly. Always thought that was a really cool way to reflect the history of the location in the stadium.

I was at the game tonight.

Pilkington was filthy. Had everything working.

Self is not a Tommy John candidate or concern. He had his shoulder cleaned up and can pitch but we're not going to burn him up too much plus we haven't had a lot of leads where we could use him. Just to clear that up.

Trysten Barlow is hurt. I think it's his elbow.

On the Stovall baserunning mistake- I thought he hit a home run. I think that confused the runners. That said the umpire made the call quickly like he should have right or wrong and our third base coach has to communicate that more quickly. So, it's still a bad mistake.

Didn't like the bunting in the second inning or with Foscue either.

We're going to struggle hitting but I think as long as Henderson stops pitching Leibelt and Neff we're going to have a winning season. That said I think we're a sub .500 SEC team and we play a ton of SWAC teams plus we already have a bad loss to McNeese and maybe one to Corpus Christi. I think we miss because of our schedule as much as anything.

Our future is very bright though- you can see the talent and potential that our freshmen have.

Another stellar game thread of bitching and moaning. Thanks Cloak for updating the score at least once.

Our freshman are our best players. That includes Mangum and Stovall. Allen and Foscue are our best hitters by far. If we will get Belmont out of the lineup i think we can do some things. I worry that Hatcher was really connected to Cann and his removal is hurting him as he looks like a overmatched Fr last few games. I did like our lineup last night except put Allen on the field so we can DH Vansau or Mac while the other plays OF. Plug them into the 5hole move Belmont out. Love to have Rowdey hit 9hole.

Again when we pitch we will have a chance. Gordon threw outstanding. He has to get consistent and if he does he will be a huge piece to our bullpen.

ULL wasn’t great and the home plate ump was atrocious and overmatched by the pitchers. He couldn’t handle them or the zone but it was both ways. Let’s see what we roll out today, great win last night.
