Saw something like this on twitter (it was hand drawn, forgot who it was) and figured I would give it a shot on photoshop. I think it turned out pretty well. I wouldn't want this full time or anything but I think it would be pretty cool for egg bowl and on recruiting mail/graphics.

I honestly would not be opposed for it to be a helmet decal for a game. Maybe even the egg bowl. Nice job

Eliminate all banner M logos in our athletics. I’ve hated it since 1996.
Yours is a cool variation but I simply hate the banner M.

I tweeted it and someone responded w/ "love the creativity, but we can't alter a federally registered mark." Not really sure what that means. We can't alter our own logo?

That's when you dump the old one and make this the logo. If it required a change, I would make the state and the M different colors or something. Maybe I'm lost, but I would think an easy way to get around altering the logo is just to say you made a new one.

MSU is super strict on their logo usage. One of the strictest ones out there. trust me....I know. Your only hope is that they like it and use it and give you tshirt for your trouble.
