Hey students nice crowd for a 230 tip off. Maybe 20 students in their upper deck section. Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled.

Time to take the tickets away from them and give them to locals who had theirs taken away a few years back.

We probably have as many students at game as most.... ours just get the worst seats...

Maybe 1000 students at best. But hey let’s give them them better seats hoping they might show up.

Look up some of the other SEC schools student seating charts... i.e. Auburn

All I know is that the students were coming even when the team was getting whipped night in and night out.

But I am surprised it wasn’t full.

I agree with you, but it used to be packed out for big games exactly where it is now. Today was a big game.

why is the student section in the upper deck? is that normal?

Steakonastick

The students have 4 sections lower level then 4 or so upper deck. Both are behind the goal by states bench.

All the open seats in the lower half were season ticket holders not students, Hump atmosphere for the men continues to be horrendous despite them being 18-1 at home so the excuse that once they win the fans will show is false.

I like the idea of putting students on the first 5 or 6 rows all the way around the court.

I thought the lower half was about 90% full. It was the fullest the lower level has been all year. And i would say the upper level minus the students sections were 75 percent full

All for this as long as they show up every game or it'll look awful during games they go home to wash their socks

Yep, you knew that was false when we were pulling it together earlier in the season and people on here were doing everything they could to say this team didn't deserve support though.

Buy the Hump was rocking today, as loud as anytime I can remember, but my memory only goes back so far. Of course some you that are bitching would know that if you were at the game.

I say give them the entire lower level opposite the TV cameras. That's apparently what Auburn does. That also happens to be the largest concentration of cooperate and big donar no shows.

I agree. Duke, NC, etc...Having the students around the floor impacts the games big time.

Heck NO. We did that, and it destroyed the student section. Everybody agreed on that. Whatever you do don't split them up again.

I think at Auburn the get 1st 9 rows all the way around except behind benches excluding the 1st row courtside.

Season ticket holder in FB, but don't make many BB games. Have you guys noticed how dark the Hump looks on TV? It looks like we don't have a single light bulb up there and every seat is empty.

It obviously started when the student section was moved, just a warmup for what they will do to baseball attendance

If it had been full, and with a packed student section it might have approached what it was. I wasn't there, but my son was. There is no way a less than than half full student section even came close to what it could be. Now loudest in many years was very probably true.

It's been this way at State for years and years. Last weekend the students stayed in town because the OM game and women's game vs. A&M was on campus. So this weekend they went home. There has always been a certain percentage of the student population who cannot stay away from their parents for more than two weeks at a time.

If we winning the students will show up if they have to stand out in the lobby. This argument has been beat to death, it is what it is.

Would anyone of you if you were the AD have enough guts to kick those high dollar donors out of their seats and put students in them who may or may not show up according to how the team is playing?

Students don't deserve any special seating they just don't. There's thousands of students on campus & we can't get more than 300-400 kids to the biggest game of the year. Show up fill the student section like the old days then talk to me about putting them around the court. They don't fill up the lower level seats they get now.

Yes I know the students are the athletes who play in the game. So yes students are the reason college sports exist.

Does anyone have any stats on our student seating to student body ratio? Seems like the lower portion should be plenty of seats for students. Also, is it against any rules to put your student section near the opposing bench?
