Yea, I shouldn’t have put that one on there.

Add Louisville vs. Virginia Tech
I think VT is a bubble team- need them to lose.

It's probably a little too fluid to waste a lot of energy pulling for one team or their opponent. The 8-7 logjam will resolve itself starting today... I think all the other games are trivial compared to us winning ours. Do that and nothing else will matter much.

If UT losing helps us finish 2nd in the SEC, I am hoping Ole Miss beats them.

I think that's more important than UT's RPI moving a couple of points.

Tennessee is gonna be a tough game for us. They shoot 3s well, and have a nice inside game. They are good

Mizzou and ark are two of our better wins. Do those teams spiraling hurt our resume?

Those teams are ahead of us to get in the big dance. We need teams ahead of us to lose as we keep winning.
They play their way out as we play our way in.

I like it. Sounds good to me! We control our own destiny, just keep winning Dawgs and you will be rewarded.

Unless you’re like PJ of course, and hoping for the NIT..**

Tyree of OM can beat any tenn defender they put on him. We really need nick and peters to drive on tenn... tenn cannot stay in front of our guards

They’re best player, Grant Williams, is only 6’7”. I’m sure he’ll match up with Aric. Huge size advantage for us right there.

Grant Williams will abuse Holman down low. Williams is certainly short for his position, but he has terrific post moves. He has been outsized all year, yet he thrives.

If we win today, we will be favored against UT.

Could be. I did not say tenn would beat us. We will have an advange with our guards penetration. They will have advantages too though... Williams and their shooting. Should be a good game

Glad to see LSU down by double digits to Georgia. Hopefully this will end the recent fad of bracketologists putting LSU in.

Haven't watch Williams much, didn't watch first USCe game. But I think you may be underselling Holman some.

Question for the RPI gurus:

I've been checking Warren Nolan RPI after every game for the past 12 games or so, and I've been waiting for Vermont to slide under us pretty much since the first time I've looked, yet they're always 5-8 spots ahead of us. How do they manage to stay ahead of us despite having no Q1 wins and playing more Q4 games than we have?

Before today,
They're 22-6, we're 20-8.
Their SOS 159; Ours is 101.
They're 0-4 in Q1 games, we're 2-6
Q2: 2-1 vs 5-2
Q4: 12-1 vs 9-0

I assume they're 1st in their conference so they aren't bubble competition, but its perplexed me all season.

It'll work itself out. I feel that if we keep winning, "bracketologist" will pull up standings, etc and see our record and start figuring it out. We have just been flying under the radar.

The crap about the poor non-conference schedule is crap because it already is factored in with RPI/SOS.

The notion that scheduling and beating mediocre teams early is more of a negative than finishing in the top quadrant of this year's SEC is a positive is frankly absurd.

Exactly. Not to mention the fact that you played Wichita State in The Bahamas in December carries more weight than finishing the year above .800 in the deepest conference is absurd.
