That'd be an amazing turn of events if we had another Rooker on this team this year. Maybe we can just forget all about that Canntexting disaster and say we are 2-0 on the year. Think the NCAA will buy it?

Time will tell. It's baseball.

Hatcher will have 40+ career homeruns while he's here. Book it.

I'm going to say no just because Rooker wasn't Rooker as a true freshman and actually redshirted. I don't mean that as a slight at all. It's just that Rooker had to develop his game whereas Hatcher is off to a fast start with us.

I'm pretty hesitant to make comparisons after five games- we need to see how he adjusts once the scouting reports get out on him. That's THE key to being successful in baseball- you have to constantly make adjustments in your individual game to move up to MLB and then stay there.

Hatcher, Jordan Anderson, and Tanner Allen are the kinds of players we need to be recruiting more of. All three were drafted- but low. Anderson was actually a top 200 draft prospect by MLB.com and IMO should be starting or at the very least be playing more. All three are very athletic and have very high upsides and will be drafted in the top 10 rounds three years from now. Hatcher and Anderson could even develop into first rounders if they stay healthy and work hard. Those three that I mentioned are the kind of talents that you see on upper echelon SEC teams that have National Championship potential.

We are 2-0, but USM will be like Remora Parasites through the rest of the year. We may going back there for a regional

Hatcher may just be scratching the surface, he looks skinny. He’s 20-25 pounds short of full grown.
