The 18th annual Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic will be held from March 2-4, 2018.

The three-day six-team, nine-game tournament, which is held at Minute Maid Park every spring, will feature University of Houston, Sam Houston State, and Louisiana-Lafayette. Also, there are three from the SEC which include Mississippi State, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt.

Fellow Bulldogs,there will be four events next weekend for the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Baseball Classic (March 2-4):

Welcome Happy Hour (March 2) at Biggio's;
BrewDawgs Gathering (March 3) at 8th Wonder Brewery;
Saturday Pre-Game Reception (March 3) at Biggio's;

Sunday Pre-Game Tailgate (March 4) at Home Plate Grille. Please share with fellow alumni and those traveling to Houston next weekend. #Hailstate #HoustonStrong

Great to hear. I’d like to see a major recruiting effort from MSU in that area, both in students and athletes.

I really wish JAN or GTR could land some non-stop flights out there again.

United flies direct multiple times daily to JAN, MEM, and BHM

It killed me when SW Airlines left Jackson. The first 15 years I lived in Houston, I could fly to Jackson in less than an hour for less than a hundred each way. Now, forgetaboutit.

Carl Newman is working hard to make that sort of thing happen again. If anybody can make it happen, it's him.

Prices and flight selection have gone to the toilet in the last few years.
