I haven't looked at SEC stats much this basketball season. There is a lot in there that was surprising:

Scoring - #13 - Q @ 14.8 ppg

Rebounds - #8 Ado @ 6.9 pg

FG % - #2 - Ado @ .657 !!!
#6 - Holman @ .594
#14 - Q @ .498
#19 - Nick W @ .480

3PTS % - #1 - Holman @ .441

Assists - #5 - Peters @ 4.2
- #9 - Q @ 3.7

Steals - #4 - Peters @ 1.48
- #6 - Q @ 1.46

For a team that was much maligned for their poor shooting, having 4 top 20 in FG% and the #1 3PTS% is impressive.

If it weren?t for a half dozen or so bone headed plays early in conference play, we could easily have 2 more Wins. That?s not including the two buzzer beater losses we?ve had last couple of weeks.

Maybe post season will be our time to pull out those close games.

I'm thinking we could have 4 more wins, but that's ball for you . . .

In the words of that great philosopher Rasheed Wallace - "Ball don't lie"

Those games reflect exactly who we were - an inexperienced group of guys who had not become a team. That has changed, and that is showing in results. Those 2 buzzer beater loses show what the standings show - on any given night, any team in the SEC can win, especially the home team.

Ball Don't Lie.
