Nervous? We are better than them even if they give a full effort. We are a different team from what lost to them in Oxford.

I watched it. Andy is a dick for crapping on his team like that. It's his fault for why they suck because he did a poor job filling that roster after having a program dependent on a massive volume shooter in Marshall and then Moody. He missed on Neal and they have nobody down low to replace the departed Siaz. Kennedy acting like he doesn't have a clue why they suck. **** that they suck cause he didn't give them a good team.

I'm in the minority of people who think Andy Kennedy is a pretty good coach. Ole Miss people have never supported basketball. AK gave a little more effort at coaching than OM people do at supporting basketball. If he wants to be an assistant for a while I think someone will be getting a good coach.
I laugh when I see OM people claiming that their job is a destination job and coaches will be standing in line for it. The biggest proof to them is the pavilion. We all know the pavilion was built for Luke Bryan concerts. Basketball is just something to fill in the down time. Ole Miss has never supported basketball and never will which is actually kind of stupid because their mode of recruiting is perfect for basketball.

I think this is about to change. Or at least they are about to make an effort in recruiting. Kinda hope Memphis hires a good coach that will lock down the Memphis area kids. If not, the new om coach is going to make that area a priority and will probably end up getting some good talent.

I wouldn't be shocked if Penny Hardaway gets a look by OM. He's got Memphis East in the top 25 of the country.

I hope they hire old Penny, the NCAA and the FBI will be on campus in short order. Hardaway is tied in with AAU in a major way.

Not true. Every time they have had good teams, they have had relatively BIG crowds. Look up Johnny Newman year .. Two years with John Stroud.

From '97 - '02, they went to five NCAATs .. roughly the Rob Evans era.

Someone mentioned Forbes for ETSU might be getting a look. Former Bruce Pearl assistant at Tennessee. He'd done an amazing job at ETSU so far. Beat us last year I think. Plays very tough defense. That'd be a very good hire if they get him.

I shouldn't have stated it as "Ole Miss people" but I wasn't just talking about fan support. The administration up there has never really
supported basketball. There has always been complaints about facilities, recruiting budgets and assistant salaries. Hell, their arena leaked for a while. I think they have a nice practice facility now but I will reiterate that the pavilion was not built for basketball. It wouldn't surprise me if they had to move a home basketball game because someone had leased the pavilion to an ascot convention.
