Gerri green - 5.0 sacks, 11.0 tfl
Kobe jones (freshman past year) - 1.0 sacks, 4.5 tfl
Keith mixon - 18 catches, 15.28 yards per
Thompson (freshman) - 46 tackles, 5.5 tfl, 2.5 sack

These are my 4 guys that I think had great years, but have not got the hype they deserve. I think they all have monster years this season

I think Mixon will be the OC's Randle Cobb. I don't know about Green. If he's moved to LB and not DE I think he disappears, again.

Mitchell is interesting to me. He only had 5 catches, but I remember a few of them were really tough catches. In an extremely small sample size, he looked to have some of the best hands on the team

Marquiss Spencer - outstanding football player being overshadowed by our big name guys. Would be our best D player on some of our teams in the past.

Reggie Todd is going to be a very important player for us. All the tools and started to get it figured out at the end of last year.

Christman, the kicker we have not had for several years. He will win us games.

Hate to say it but Errol will struggle in a 4-3. But leo will be improved by it.

Lot of Errol love which is cool. I don't really see him starting though.

Worried about Gerri's fit in a new scheme. He really excelled in Grantham's 3-4.

Dantzler could be a key player, but he's got to add about 15 pounds this offseason.

I don't see Mitchell playing much at all.

To be fair to Thompson, he has only played in granthams system, so it is not like he went from nothing to something.

In my mind, I see use using Thompson in heavy packages and vs power running teams. I would love to see us use more 2 LB sets vs good spread teams with those 2 LBs being gay and Leo (more speed). I do think Thompson will play a lot this year and be very effective

I dont agree with this- Gerri Green may be the odd man out to me. Green is not really a Sam LB in a 4-3 and he is not really a DE. He is however a good 3-4 OLB that drops some and rushes some. If you look at what you want your 4-3 LB group to be- Leo at Sam, Errol at Mike, and Gay at Willie LB is ideal.

Now we can certainly amend the 4-3 into an over or under front as times that gives us 5-2 look with Green on the edge. I certainly expect that to happen this Fall.

That LB corp has freaking potential. Especially when you pair it with our D-Line. I can't wait to see this defense hit the field!

I wonder who will be the Will in our D. Since shoop runs a hybrid 4-3 with a more safety type at the will.

Play Gay at the Will most of the time- slide Mac or Abram into it in passing situations. That way we have Mac, Abram, and Bryant on the field at the same time

Shoop likes the fire zone pressure, which is what Grantham did as well. I think Gerri Green will be fine doing that.

Thompson will be ok at Mike in the 4-3 but when we go 4-2 box when teams like OM try to spread us out, it needs to be Willie and Leo or Willie and Mac/Abram.

This all day with Green. His career may be over unless production wise unless the coaches find special ways to utilize his speed.

Did we burn Kobe's RS or did he get that new 4 game rule?

I know Randall Cobb is an NFL receiver, but every time I read his name I think of boxer/actor Randall "Tex" Cobb.

Farrod if he works hard learning Joes offense can make himself a lot of money, based on how much Joe uses TEs.

Wow, that is surprising. Really hope Moorhead can get the TE more involved in the passing game than Mullen.

Thats why people need to wake up and realize we are capable of making the playoffs in 2018. We probably have 18-20 NFL draft picks in our 2 deep
