Christianity is about truth. God expects us to do things the right way. He expects us to give our best effort and he likes to see us work hard and succeed. If not, he would not have given us bodies that shiver in the cold, get hungry when we don't go get food, and make sure things are clean. He wants us to work in order to thrive.

Let's not come down on Preach in this manner. if we want to discuss the ramifications of social media and crootin' , fine. But let's lay off the religious stuff regarding Preach. that's not the proper angle.

But flat out running a kid down, one that our coaches are actively recruiting, hurts MSU...and I've got a problem with that. I'd hope everyone does. So 2 4*s very likely to commit within a week? Damn man, they would give us 4 4*s already with our #1 QB target that should also be a 4. I expressed concern back when we were losing all those battles with Arky, but I'm really happy to say I'm an idiot. Never listen to me again, I was 100% wrong, everyone laugh at the moron, etc etc. JoMo can recruit and even more importantly he knows how to hire a staff that can too. And with how good he seems to be at getting out of state guys, I'm not sire we'll ever drop out of the top 20 in recruiting, as even in down years in MS he'll still pull guys from elsewhere at a pretty high rate. This staff seems too thorough to miss any under the radar guys, which I was worried about since that was Mullen's strength. So we'll still get the under the radar guys, but fight harder for the top guys and cast a wider net, all while making a better impression on a personal level.

They say on 247, he needs to be re-evaluated, which they do at various times during the year till the end of their football season. There is spring training evaluation, summer camp evaluation and football season where he will be re-evaluated.

That's possible, he's a big man and I believe he could wind up at DT as well. Pickering is friends with my son and he's being recruited to play DT. Nathan will be heck at DT too. He's got a great frame and he's quick as heck, strong as an ox. And the kid has a great motor, doesn't take plays off.

But he's not an everyday baseball starter and he's not a starting QB in the SEC. The kid is a workout freak and can run like a deer. He's a camp/combine buster.
And he's a good kid and student too. I would absolutely take him as an athlete and give him his shot at QB, but I'm telling you, he will never be an every down QB in the SEC.

A fellow State grad asked me today... Are we starting to be like our little bros up north? Star gazing fans, 1st year coach pulling pretty impressive recruits, lots of flipmas talk, recruits talking about our beautiful campus, highly ranked - out of state recruits - noticing us for the 1st time... has our network begun??

I said, I wouldn't worry... unless we start getting academically unqualified college recruits in, start stealing blue blood guys that have been committed for years and/or getting recruits that have never set foot on our campus signed!

I also don't get the impression that we are taking commits just because of the stars by their name.

Ole Miss- let's say that they have a need at LB and have three 4 star WR's committed in their class. And then let's say hypothetically that their best option is a 3 star LB but there is another 4 star WR that would commit to them. They would rather take the 4 star WR for perception purposes even though it was cause a hole at the LB spot 3-4 years down the road. That's how they end up with a bunch of all world looking WR's and no LB's.
