Yes easily

It's certainly leaning that way. Objectively, Polk would probably be the best though

Possibly, but Babe McCarthy and Polk might also be it. Vic has a ways to go to match them for titles.

Polk? He set a foundation but never got to the big one. Both Cohen and Shafer are above Polk.

There's that little thing called the SEC. Polk and McCarthy won it multiple times. MCarthy might have won it all at least onece, had he been allowed to play in the spot he earned more than once.

McCarthy, hands down!

I would put him #2 behind Dan Mullen...for now

A guy who wanted to leave multiple times and went thru the motions his last 2 games for us is not the greatest coach in school history. Hope you were just trolling bro

Not to take away anything from the Babe or Polk, but most of their success was when the SEC wasn't really into either sport, except for KY in basketball , and Babe handled them pretty well.

I agree. Winning when the big three weren’t yet the “big three” is different than it is now. If Vic wins a Natty, debates over.

Just FYI, State baseball was pretty solid before Polk got here. It ain’t all him. Mississippians in general love baseball.

How does Mullen rate as #1??? I mean he never finished higher ranked than 11th. Only finished higher than 4th in SEC W one time.

Polk ... 85 team should've won Natty and finished 3rd. Polk had sustained success. Richard Williams ... a Sweet 16 and Final Four. Hell, I'm not a Stans fan but he won SEC outright and a couple of SEC tourneys. Cohen won SEC and also finished World Series runner-up.

Vic a Sweet Sixteen and Natty Runner-up.

By that measure Stans was a better coach than McCarthy and Polk. Nope, Nope, Nope.
