With FSG really behind the team we aren't going to lose a player we really want to keep to a Manchester City like we did Sterling. On the other hand when Barca (Coutinho) or Real Madrid (rumored to be after Salah) REALLY want a player, it's almost impossible to hold them off unless you happen to be the other one in that pair. They will throw money at the club and the player until it just isn't realistic to hold on to them. Liverpool has been so close the last few years. I've been a rabid fan since the early 90's. In that time I have seen them win every trophy possible, except the league. To me that's the only one that matters now, and that includes the Champion's League. It will not happen this year, but we are SO close. We have to hold on to our best players, we just have to.
