Staley pouting on the bench like a petulant baby.

SC has pulled within 25 now. And UConn can't score. Looks to my untrained eye like a lot of fouls are being called against UConn that are not fouls.

If you can make wilson use her right hand you can beat them by 20

These are the scariest kinds of UCONN teams, not much hype and just keeps doing their business and beating people by 30. We're good enough to stay with them, but it's gonna take one or two having special games like last year

Yea ... they are. All of them are very long, athletic, and fast. Did I say fast!! And all of them can shoot. I don't see us beating them if we get to them. Don't think we can match their speed, but we may come close with that. But I know we can't match their length.

We may have peaked too early. Wouldn't mind losing one just to take the pressure off too. We seem to be a little more tight and sluggish last couple of games. I really don't want to go into tournaments undefeated.

Don't want to lose more than 1 tho or 2 max ... but only 2 if we can keep a 1 seed. Then get our mojo back and start peaking again towards middle to end of February just prior to SEC tourney.

Our starting 5 can hang with them. Issue is that UCONN’s bench is 30 points better than ours.

My thoughts exactly.....that trophy needs a giant asterisk that says thanks to MSU because they would have never beaten uconn

Y’all act like Uconn hasn’t had a couple tight games like we just had.

Do not have a deep bench...some people need to research before posting. Our starting 5 can hang with their starting 5. We just had a bad night shooting. If Tierra hits her normal percentages around the basket and better foul shooting and we don't have a starter out with the flu we win by 15 or more.

I know Vic had been hammering our D but they were damn good last night. I think he just needs something to keep the team working. I like our chances against the porn star faker team

If we could play with them last year we can play with them this year. It will be tough but lets get to that point first. Long ways to seeing them, who knows what will happen. Sit back and enjoy possibly the most dominant team State has ever fielded in any sport.

Not understanding how some feel we are inferior to Uconn. we beat them last year and it should not have been as close as it was. isn't MO ranked 15? didn't we just tough it out on the road against them with one of ours out sick?

Ben Howland was right the other night after we beat USCe. "We've got the number 1 women's team in the country". I think he's right. time for our fans to start beating our chests and be proud and confident.

Oh, and another thing, anyone thinking that losing a game or 2 prior to post season would help us mentally come tourney time is wrong. this team has the ability to go undefeated this year.

Auriemma said in an interview that if he could only play 6 players the whole game that UConn would not be beaten. The reporter said but that's not practical is it? He said , why not. He has not been happy with his bench's production, or work ethic past the sixth player it seems. It would be a marquee game, and I have no clue who would win. MO is a really good team, but UConn is an elite team, and I would consider our girls to be one too.

I agree with you. Our team does not need a loss to be focused mentally for the tourney. Some teams may, but not this team.

I'm just going on my criteria for picking tourney pools ... and I've won a lot of men's pools. I won't pick an undefeated team going into the NCAAs. The pressure builds too much on them and they have played at too high a level all year long to keep it up. Intangibles.

I also look for other factors too, and last night UConn displayed pretty much everything I look for. Not saying we can't beat them, but we have to play a perfect game to do so. I'm hopeful our smaller guards can cause their taller ones some issues, but they looked much better last night than last year. But last night was also my only time watching them this year.

I would pick UConn in WBK tho as an undefeated to go all the way. UConn is used to it, has done it, and can do it in WBK. We are not and cannot. For a frame of reference, check out this link:

ETA: I'm just saying I believe the odds will be more in our favor with 1 loss, as opposed to no losses. We also had 5 losses going into tourney last year. But we got our mojo back going into tourneys and played pretty relaxed throughout, until title game.

UConn had undefeated/long winning streak pressure on them last year.

I coached a team that had a winning streak. It does bear down on you, but it's always better to win, of course.
