We are 74th in rpi. Missouri is 43rd. Espn FPI has this as essentially a toss up... right at 50. We need a good crowd, and the team needs to win this game. If we can win it, we will be in decent bubble/nit shape

A loss to Mizzou at home Saturday would start the rumor mill, and end any post season chance.

Saturday's a huge day for us. The SEC doing well in the SEC/Big 12 challenge would help our RPI and conference perception too.

Yes it would. It's a critical game for the program. I can't make it, wife's birthday stuff. If I could I would be there. We HAVE to win this one.

He will if things don't get better. We really need to win tomorrow. I hope we do and Howland succeeds and we move forward.

Neither of these is true.

I see this as a huge game only because this team needs to experience a solid conference win and the building of confidence that goes with that.

we are 2-1 in the SEC at home. So there's that

It should be a really ugly game. Mizzou plays good, physical defense.

Maybe after next year when Q and Holman are seniors if he hasn't reached any postseason whatsoever during their entire 4 years at MSU then yes he probably will get fired but I seriously doubt that happens. We were up 13 on Auburn in the 2nd half and Auburn is about to win the SEC this year. We were up double digits on Ole Miss with 9 minutes left in the game and we were tied with Bama and Kentucky in the 2nd half. We really are just a couple baskets away from having a totally different feel about this season guys. Quit the ****ing crying already. You don't become great overnight. Vic Schaeffer's success is distorting some of y'alls perception on how tough it is to turn a program around in the SEC.

Overnight, it's been a damn decade. Our program is awful. And short of a team brawl, Howland will be back for one more year before being fired.

It's year 3 for Howland whose 44-39 at MSU after having to follow Rick Ray. Seriously think about that for a damn second. He has a winning record here after having to follow RICK ****ing RAY.

He's talking about how we havent made the NCAA Tourney since 2009- and it took us winning the SEC Tourney in a weak SEC that season.

Even though I have ZERO confidence in this team, I keep thinking they find some way to put 2 competitive halves of basketball together.

Mizzou is not great, but their shooters are more consistent than ours. They win by 8 to 10 pts.

Nah we beat Missouri at home. They aren't the same team without MPjr.

We won't beat them if our "NBA wannabe 3 pt shooters" go 5 for 28. Just sayin.

Howland is not getting fired after his third season no matter what the outcome of the season is. If some on this message board had their way, it would probably happen. It would be a stupid decision though (IMO). I'm glad that Dr. Keenum and John Cohen are the ones calling the shots.

I can dig that. But we don't really know what's going on in Cohen's head right now.

Just don?t let them travel to Hawaii and I think they?ll avoid any brawls.

On a related note, there should be some balance in the SEC/Big 12 challenge. I know we've been awful, but seriously we've only participated one year.

ESPN isn't interested in featuring MSU right now. Don't be fooled for a second this is an ESPN event. SEC/BIG12 have nothing to do with who plays who.

No conspiracy. Howland doesn't like conference challenges and has requested that we not participate.

Smart man. Seems like a giant distraction in the middle of SEC play.
