This should put your arguments about Adu to bed. He is the heart of the team. His foul trouble cost us this one.

Heart of the team? He got pushed around like a little bitch at the end of the game. If he finishes the dunk and holds the next rebound we win the game, period. He did neither and looked weaker than the water boy. No excuse for that.

Him being weak physically was a 3 point swing and the lead with 90 seconds to play. Inexcusable when we have the workout facilities we have on campus and in the practice facility.

Heart and soul? That is the Spoon brothers.

Adu is nothing more than a big body. He is still a work in progress.

No. The game turned when they went to a 1-3-1 press and we couldn't make shots and got rattled. It happens on the road.

There is some truth to this. But letting X and crew jack up 13+ threes in the 2nd half was the main reason we lost. If we make a 2 on a third of those possessions we win the game easily.

It happens to good teams on the road. Even experienced ones. We will only get better. Take "Ole Miss" off the jersey and this is a hard fought loss. Everyone needs to relax.

Yeah it?s hard to understand. We should be able to break down these zones with as many guys as we have that can penetrate. It seems like all we do though is pass around the perimeter and jack up 3?s.

It's not an excuse. It's college basketball, especially in this year's SEC.

We lost because we had 14 turnovers to their 7. We shot horribly from 3 point range and let the Rebs take it to the hoop late. Too early to panic but we let one get away. And by the way, Jimmy Dykes is a know it all asshole.

You know what? That sounds exactly like what happens to teams (even good ones) on the road. And we still almost won. People acting like we didn't compete.

Played long ago in high school, never coached anything. I still don't think we know who our starters are and have too many players in our rotation. Why is Wright suddenly getting so many minutes? Holman is not getting enough shots. The spoons disappeared. Everyone except Datcher and Ado think they are NBA ready and jack up three's anytime, any range, and at any point in the shot clock. Ado needs to get in the weight room asap and also work on hand strength drills with Couch.

LOL, it was like turning on and off a light switch, when he was in we rolled, when he wasn't we didn't. The thing you and the rest don't get is that I ain't really arguing about how good Adu is, or isn't. You might be surprised at what I actually think there. It's immaterial though. He is the key player for this team.

Jarvis shot the ball better and turned it over less as a Freshman. Ado is in no way "miles ahead of him". Varnado didnt play as much because we had Rhodes playing ahead of him and Slater balled so hard Stands played him at the 4.

Maybe not shooting % but Ado is a Greek god compared to bean pole Varnado as a freshman. Ado gets in the weight room he is going to finish top 10 C for MSU all-time.

Holman is 2nd on the team in PPG and 1st in RPG while averaging 21 minutes a game. He should be getting 35 minutes per game.

When the game was on the line and it really counted we were 0-4 shooting wide open threes and the players who took them were as follows: Tyson Carter (0-2 wide open looks), Nick Weatherspoon (0-1 shooting same shot he buried against Arkansas), Q (0-1 same shot he buried down the stretch against Arkansas). Ado actually had a key offensive rebound put back that was an offensive rebound from a brick from one of Q?s shots. His put back got it back to 60-58. Down the stretch Q inexplicably threw the ball out of bounds throwing it to Nick which cost us a key possession. We made a stop were down 60-58 and Ado was wide open and Q just throws the ball out of bounds. Q was 0-4 from three and had five costly turnovers. If you want to blame someone, Q is as much or more of a culprit then anyone else.

And Peters lost the ball 5 times trying to dribble/drive the lane. He may have made 1 FG driving the rim. This plus the Q TO's above was more than enough in lost possessions to lose the game.

Not understanding the Peters hate- he scored 7 with 4 boards and 3 assists. Q played more minutes and turned the ball over 5 times to Peters 2- but only scored 7 points as well.

You act like Howland and literally everyone else except you wasn't aware that Ado was signed to help us out on defense not offense. We didn't sign him to feature him on offense we signed him to protect the paint because our defense was atrocious under Ray down low. It's like you're bitching about Brent Rooker not being a very good pitcher. Well no shit bruh he wasn't signed to be a very good pitcher.

one thing that I think would have won the game for Us was We should have ran a zone at The end-OM can't shoot and we could have stopped the dribble drive for lay-ups. Plus it would have protected Ado. Also they for sure wouldn't have expected it.

Holman, Datcher and Feazell are better on offense than Ado but none of them are close to him on defense. If you want more offense down low you're giving up more points on the other side. I do think Datcher and Feazell need more minutes. Howland seems reluctant to give it to them and I am guessing it's cause they aren't playing defense as well as he wants.
