LSU is fixing to suck in a major way. Ogre HC, OC, AND DC! The Good Lord has saved this much amusement for me for my twilight years. Thank You God!

As long as LSU falls off, I think we will be ok after aTm blows up. We just do not need aTm blowing up and LSU continuing to be a 9-10 win team

Jimbo Fisher is not nearly the coach some of y'all wanna think he is. He's mediocre at best. He will never be more than sumlin was at aTm.

Oh, and we scored 37 points on "awesome Aranda's" defense this year. Who has much more talent that aTm.

Even after his abysmal season this year, he is 83-23 as a HC. Won the acc 3 of his 8 seasons. He has won a natty, made playoffs twice, won the orange bowl twice, and been to rose and peach. State fans crapping on jimbo while praising our unknown HC is dumb. I do think moorhead is a good one, but jimbo is a proven good to great one.

Jimbo all time winning % = .783
Saban = .778

Weren't they going to be a monster with John Chavis? Seems like they claim the title of sleeping giant continuously.

You see sumlin/Chavis = jimbo/aranda

I see sumlin/chavis << jimbo/aranda

Time will tell who is right

aTm isn’t a monster because it is a difficult place to recruit given the traditions and culture of the university.

Texas a&M will never have a good defense as long as Texas HS football don't play defense. Texas High Schools develop great Quarterbacks and have high-powered offenses. Their defenses? Meh. A Texas High School football game looks like a 7 on 7 camp game.

The only decent decent defense in Texas comes from TCU, and that's because Gary Patterson is a defensive guru. Even then, TCU gave up a lot of points this past season.

Jameis Winston is a big reason Jimbo was so successful. Jameis was his Cam Newton.

He was 12-2 and won the orange the year before Winston. He has made peach and won orange after Winston.

Aranda is really damn good- but he is no guarantee there considering the task they have recruiting quality guys on D

In maybe 4 years. They're going from a spread to dropback passing. It will take time to click and find the right talent for it.

After watching him the NFL, I tend to agree.

I believe Jimbo is an upgrade, due to the fact he has been involved in top level championship teams since his days at LSU. However, I'm not sold on Jimbo being an instant success. Money has never been an issue at ATM as we know. However, they did not capitalize on Texas being down like they should have. Herman has TX on the rise, TCU is good, OK and OSU get half their players from TX, LSU gets some from TX, etc. It is going to take him 4 or 5 years in my opinion to get there if he does.

If we had hired Jimbo Fisher the day after Mullen left for Florida, this board would have been ecstatic. Downing jimbo bc aTm hired him and state fans are a little scared is just hating. It is ok to admit that aTm has killed it this offseason.

I think Jimbo is a dang good coach. I?m not gonna be sold on AM becoming a monster though until they prove they can put a competent defense on the field.

Aranda staying at LSU & making 2.5 mil which is 100K less than Moorhead.

A&M needs to settle the 17 down. With the Fisher contract & getting Aranda a 1+ dollar raise, they are really disrupting the pay scale of college athletics. And for what?

This is not a good trend. I'm not sure what the answer is in fixing it, but the pay scale of college athletics is a little ridiculous & has jumped this off season due to A&M attempting to steal everyone else's coaches

I'm split on Jimbo. I think he's a good coach, but just not sure he is elite. I never watched Florida State & thought they were a very well coached team. I thought they were very talented, but was never wowed by their execution & creativity.

The way I see it is our window is next season. Bama loses a ton, LSU loses a lot along with 2 coods, auburn loses a lot, and aTm will not be ready despite hitting a HR this offseason. 2018 is our shot... really hope our 32 seniors, new HC, and new staff are ready to take advantage

LSU just guarenteed Aranda 10 mil. A DC was just guaranteed 10 mil.

And FWIW, LSU may have the toughest schedule in the history of college football next year. Wouldn't shock me to see them win 6 or 7 games

LSU just gave $10 million to a defensive coordinator who lost to Notre Dame’s backup QB three days ago.

Not sure if I like this or not. I think aTm will be good in 2 years with or without Aranda. Losing Aranda could have sent lsu in a tailspin though

ER Nurses are rushing crash carts simultaneously to A&M and AU...

Bammer just got the call that they moved up the list and will get yet another new liver.

LSU was DOA.

Here is A&M's schedule. They draw SC & KY from the East, so that really helps them. I see 4 certain losses + LSU & South Carolina as toss ups. My guess is A&M goes 7-5
