I say 28. Our defense is good and they're coming off that huge game at Georgia. It's going to interesting to see Chris Jones and Denico Autry try to get to Mettenberger.
Feed Malcolm Johnson!

LOL, I think 24-27 should give us a good shot. You have to remember that we are a run first offense, and we don't really have the playmakers to have quick strikes. Therefore, if we score 24 points, its going to eat up a butt load of time off the clock. LSU simply won't have time to score many more than that. I say that if we score 24 points, then we will win.

28. Dogs win 28-24.

Yep- 27-28 is my guess...somewhere around that. If it gets to the 30's we won't win

To me the better question is how many turnovers do we need to win.

I don't feel good about this one. I think they will kill us this year.

Not gonna lie...I love the 9.5 if your willing to bet against your own team

With our D and 2 weeks to get ready- we better not. It will be outright shocking

if we can muster 24+ we should be in the game come the 4th quarter. I don't have a lot of confidence in our offense to put points on the board though. Scoring 20 against Auburn and 3 against Okie State is pretty abysmal.

that's been the problem in the past ... come the 4th qtr is when they either hit the gas or we hit the brakes

3 against OSU is what chaps my ass. That was totally unacceptable. However, 20 on the road against Auburn, with a QB making his first road start, that one doesn't bother me as much. I think we beat Auburn 6 or 7 out of 10 times and things just really broke their way that night.

Plus, I think we are getting better. Now that we've basically committed to Dak, we are starting to click. If we played Auburn today, if we played Auburn at home today I think we would win by 10-14 points.

We are going to see a quick end to the hype on Ole Miss's offense. Its been cute. Its been a little fun. But now it faces the full attention of opposing SEC coaching staffs. Little Bucky is going to find out he is out of his league.

I just don't see how we can win without scoring at least 30.

I hope Mullen is not thinking 28. I hope he is thinking 50.

30+ is my guess.

I hope he has the same attitude he did in the Troy game. When interviewed at halftime up 45-7, he said I am worried about Troy's ability to come back and put points on the board. If he takes this attitude the rest of the season, we will win 8 games easily and upset some people. Heck if he took that attitude at Auburn, our offense probably scores 34 and we win easily.

Amen...try to score 60. Granted we're not, but never stop. Mullen needs to lose the "run the clock" mindset. And believe me, I know it's warranted sometimes, but Mullen can't manage it well, so he need to abandon it and go with "score 100" mentallity. Every gaem should be a personal challenge to his "offensive genius" to see if he can score 100.

Not sure why it would be shocking. The history of the series suggests otherwise. And there's that little thing of them being more talented than us at almost every position on the field. (Note: I said almost)

Their offensive line is not more talented than our DL and LB- we actually hold the advantage there. Our Secondary is a little suspect right now though- but with 2 weeks to prepare- should play much better. They get to work on covering those routes, memorizing formations, and other little tells that should help them Saturday

Plus, with the way we will run the clock- I just dont see them scoring 30+

The score at half two years ago was 3-6 lsu en route to a 6-19 finish and that lsu was better than this one defensively but not as good offensively. Mullen has played them well overall even though he hasn't gotten over the hump yet with them.
We just need to either convert early in the red zone or hammer Metzenberger to win.

We have to mix it up. LSU runs a deadly play action game that will eat us alive if we blitz and all out rush the passer every play.

I see LSU scoring 24-27 points, so I think 24 puts is in a nail biter, and 28 could win it
