Hope nobody gives him grief over this. Losing a family member is hard enough, but right here at Christmas is even worse.

Agree. I think it's also important to note that, unlike a normal game where the team practices in Starkville all week, the team leaves for Jacksonville to practice for a week & play.

Not trying to explain Jamal's decision, but just making the point being in Florida for a week while your family goes through a major loss is probably different than being in Starkville where you could possibly go back & forth & be there for your family

He's making the right decision IMO

I haven?t seen anyone saying anything negative if they did it?s either a troll or a stupid fan of another team posing. If anyone would give grief over someone picking sports over being with family in the time of a death has some real issues and needs to reevaluate their life. Praying for his family during this hard time.
