Tom Waits is on (1979 episode). Damn I remember the original show. Makes me old.

Pick and fingerpick a little guitar and some of my favorites are Waits songs.

But he is a weird dude.

Damn, I wish I'd have seen this post earlier or had known he was going to be on ACL tonight....would have been cool to see the '79 show.

Do any of you young 17er's know or realize how long ago that was? Do y'all realize how much the country and the world has changed in 39 years?? Wish I could go back and relive some of it but wish I'd never have lived through some of it.

You 20 somethings better get your life right....save your money, tell those around you that you love'em (EVERY DAY), and don't think for a second you're never going to get old.

Yeah, my bad. I was thinking John Waite not Tom Waits. John had a few good songs with The Babys the last half of the 70's. Tom Waits is just a weird dude....talented but weird.
