The NCAA investigation was not a joke....the COI was. Their ruling suprised even the investigators. Had someone close to the situation tell me that after that the floodgates have been opened. You either pony up to play or get out of the way at this point. The precedent has been set.

What has OM done yet? They picked up a 4* receiver that UGA dropped and they picked up a low 3* DE that would?ve been lost in our depth chart. Williams would not have had significant playing time for at least 2 years with us. He knew this..... our guys knew this too.

I mean you can be facetious about it if you want, but the fact of the matter is something doesn't add up when a kid signs with Kansas (again, old coach or not) while supposedly having the option to choose LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, A&M, or us.

Actually, we addressed a glaring need in this round of signings. We held on to some top WR's with a complete staff turnover 3 weeks out from signing day. Holding on to everyone would have been a stretch for even the best recruiter. Hopefully our coaching staff can now focus on the late signing day and address some other needs (OL and CB). Instead of trying to focus on 25 players until Feb they can focus on a handful. Not seeing the disadvantage here. You need to stop melting.

ETA: those players that didn't sign today didn't just not sign with us....they didn't sign with anyone. We are all in the same boat.

Moorhead and company did a good job holding on to most of the pieces Don put in place but didn't bring anything new to the table, not that he had time to do so. I'm optimistic. Our new coaches have to continue to build trust in the State and beyond.

Yep. Not qualifying. And they said in the recruiting thread that JoMo has a tendency to not sign people who won't qualify. Which sounds good to us.

We aren't going to pull guys that were planning to go to PSU to now come down to MS. Heck, Mullen couldn't pull the guys he targeted from our class even to go down to FL. Ole Miss flipping Williams is actually kind of funny. He's a good player and we definitely didn't want to lose him but he is not the big splash flip that they like to make. His been pretty quiet throughout the recruiting process so it's not getting the giant headlines that the landsharks crave. They like to flip #1 recruits and since they couldn't they are now saying they could have flipped Heath but decided not to. It's a total dick move to report bullshit like this about a player that just signed with someone else but it should be expected from experts in dick moves. Those people just crave attention.

I think the pressure MDL feels is mostly from within; and when he quits, I don't think external factors will be the reason... and he certainly doesn't know what "trolling" is...
