Braves shift debt fro 2019 to 2018. Clear signal that they won't try too hard to compete this year, but are serious about 2019.

Dodgers shift debt from 2018 to 2019. Clears up money tocompete for a WS this year.

Whole lot of DL time in that trade. At first I was WTF? When I looked a little deeper I realized it frees up big money next year, adds a couple of back end rotation guys for insurance to bridge this year, and It frees up an OF spot for Acuna. Acuna will play more than Kemp would have - dude was always on the DL.

Been hearing that the Braves were serious about competing in whatever year was two away from where we currently are for quite a long time now. Hopefully the ship is righting itself.

Yeah this is a 2019 play. Got to feel we will find a way to go after an ace that?s long term controllable with that money next year. Depending on how Austin Riley comes along, we may make a play for a 3B too.

Would expect this year to be a lot like last year. Snitker will take the fall and we will make a splash managerial hire to make 2019 an all in year.

I think we keep him and trade him at the deadline. We need another OF anyways for 2019 to compete so I figure that will be another part that we go get. Rumors floating that Yelich is someone we are currently very interested in.
