There are plenty of good ones out there. The guy Hud had at ULL is very good.

S&C are almost a dime a dozen now. This wasn?t the case 10 years ago but now with all the different technologies and nutrition coaches employed. I?m not as worried on this type hire.

Well damn.

We seemed to have good results with him. I guess this is simply a money deal. There are differences in S&C coaches.

I'm sure Coach Moorhead knows a good S & C coach. Wasn't this Savage's 1st year as the head S & C coach? The other thread on here shows that we we very low in our pay for this job. $150K, 60th in the nation.

Promoted less than 2 years ago after we lost Rick Court to Maryland.

Would have preferred he stayed but he's no Matt Balis.

Probably has a lot less to do with money & more to do with the fact that Mullen hired Savage at MSU & he is Mullen's guy. Sure, Moorhead may have retained Savage, but Moorhead didn't hire Savage & thus isn't his guy.

It was in Savage's best interest to go to Florida because he knows he has job security.

Many of you guys think too much in terms of money & not enough in terms of politics

No offense but Savage is easily replaced. There are some really physical teams out there. Go to one and find the guy.

Fordham S&C Coach, come on down... Actually I wouldn't be that surprised.

Agree with you guys. S&C is not rocket science. Maybe you need a guy whose personality and drive is respected by the players. But there should be a lot of good S&C coaches that can fill this spot.

True, but knowing what to do, and being the type of coach that can absolutely kill the players, but yet still have the player kill for them, are rare and worth every penny.
