Agreed. We might have 100 fans there

Our AD couldn?t do anything about this. The sec could have though

I absolutely don’t understand this either. South Carolina sucks.

I get that our QB is injured and the coaching situation, but it doesn’t make any sense.

Huge fail from the athletic department here. South Carolina in no way deserved that bowl us.

Sorry Cohen, great job with the coaching search but this is a huge failure of MSU’s athletic department not fighting for the respect it deserves.

Some of you don't seem to understand that there was absolutely no way for Moorhead to get here, implement a staff, implement a scheme, teach a scheme in limited practices and have good results. I don't know why this is so hard to comprehend. The players have been in a system all year long. Can't undo that in a few bowl practices and film studies. Come on

If we had Fitz even with all the coaching turmoil I'd think we'd win simply because of Sirmon, but with an inexperienced QB and no real offensive coach, I don't like the matchup. I think we'll score because, well Sirmon, but that is a terrible matchup for our D with no DC.

Like 34 said, we could use our old plays. Moorhead could learn our plays quicker than the team could learn his. Maybe throw a JM wrinkle or two
I?m still not convinced that JM doesn?t end up coaching the bowl

I think it's an interesting and entertaining matchup. The location is fine. I wasn't going anyway without a coaching staff in place unless the game was in Nashville or Memphis.

Without a D coordinator and our starting QB + with their starting QB and O Coach ... very bad matchup here. Might be very ugly.

Maybe he wasn't asked to coach the game.

Cohen said from the beginning that Coach Moorhead would concentrate on recruiting and getting his staff together and that Knox would coach the bowl game. Brand new head coaches very rarely coach bowl games. I fully agree with our AD and believe he's making the correct decisions.

Lamar Jackson possibly playing his last college game, yeah, it could be really ugly. Might be like Texas vs MSU and Ricky Williams last game.

There is also a pretty big MSU fan base in the greater Jax/N FL area. We used to play regular baseball games against UNF and UF in Jacksonville because of this. Even as bad as attendance was for the 2nd Gator Bowl against NW - we had one of the largest turn outs of any bowl that day.

Wanting Moorhead to coach the bowl game is so dumb. Why would he rush to implement something when this game is essentially meaningless and using some players he will never coach again? We will probably look bad either way, might as well not blemish the new coach and damper our excitement for next season. Coach Moorhead and Cohen are absolutely doing the right thing letter him evaluate, recruit, and work on his staff.

Yeah but they have Sirmon.

Sirmon is like spotting us 14-20 points automatically. However, without Fitz, I'd say maybe 7 or 10. Our secondary could get embarrassed. Im thinking 35-21 Louisville, unless Key becomes a much better thrower by then, and we aren't completely one dimensional.

The way the Ole Miss offense whipped our defense, even with Grantham coaching, was terrible. We got beat on long passes and let no. 22 run right up the middle past our highly recruited ILB. I hate to see what Jackson is going to do to our defense if we play like that against Louisville.

Man some of y'all bitch about everything. I am excited for this matchup. Louisville isn't all that. They are basically 1-2 players on offense and that's it. When's the last time we played them? I don't think I've ever seen MSU play Louisville in football or I don't remember it so I really like this matchup. No thank you on playing Michigan. They are boring as hell.

I'd rather Michigan play state. Because win or lose I'd be happy either way. However I feel like it would be an easier win against Michigan because playing with O'Korn is like sucking a tomato from the ass of a hobo

Two long passes and two long runs is "whipping" our defense?

I recall 3 long passes. In any event, I don't think our defense played very well against Ole Miss-maybe you do. Ole Miss got beat 66-3 against Alabama. They shouldn't have even been in the game against us in my opinion, even with Fitzgerald hurt.
