I could see the committee putting UGA 2 and Bama 3 if Miami beats Clemson to avoid the all SEC final. It shouldn’t be like that but I could see it.

Bama has no better claim than Ohio State. Oklahoma is a better loss than auburn. Ohio State will have 3 wins better than bama best win. Ohio State does have an awful loss, but they will be a conference champ too

Yeah but they would be a 2 loss conference champ in a weaker conference. I hate tie breakers being used against a team in a situation like this, especially if it’s one loss. Means you get penalized for losing to a damn good team.

Think about it like this. It would look better for Bama to have lost to Vanderbilt and beat Auburn and go to the title game than to lose to the team that was #2 in the county. That logic is dumb to me. Because had Bama lost to Vandy and not Auburn they would be in Atlanta now.

If Miami beats Clemson in a close one, I can see both the U and Dabo getting into the top 4 b/c Dabo did beat Auby (who Bama didn't beat). That's a pretty big win for the ACC over the SEC.

Certainly Bama is most popular in a 3-4 hour radius that many of us live in. Seems impossible when actually thinking about the whole "country". Given population sizes, etc.

Plus I doubt the committee would want 2 SEC teams. That would be 2 major conferences out with 2 from the sec in. I realize it's suppose to be based on the 4 best teams and Bama probably does deserves it more than Ohio St, just not sure it happens.
