Chavis would be a disaster hire. LSU was better after he left and UT hated him and was glad that he left. He did next to nothing with the talent at TAMU as well.

What? His scoring defense was #4 nationally his last year at LSU and Top 15 every year except one when he was 21st. LSU has been 41, 5, 21 since he left. A & M went up like 40 spots his first two years compared to the year before. This year was bad. How much was the issues of coaching staff about to be fired I don't know and playing defense behind Sumlin offense is an issue as well. But don't misconstrue the LSU job

Knowles at Duke was the DC at Madison Central back in the 90's if its the same person.

Knowles coached lb's from cut at OM. He's got Duke's def in top 25 in a ton of catergories. Think he is from Pennsylvania originally

Chavis' 2 minute prevent defenses suck big time. Especially don't want to be in game against Bama with him as DC in last 2 minutes. So I hope this doesn't happen.

True. Difference is Grantham went down swinging. He still blitzed (probably sent too many tho) and didn't get there in time. Chavis goes into his 3 man rush prevent D and I hate that crap.

We've beaten Chavis at least 3 times I think. He's overrated. Get someone under 40 please.
