As I said prior to the sanctions, which are ridiculously soft, you aren't going to see a mass exodus. Just a few.

HancockCountyDog

Van Jefferson is leaving.

Patterson is likely leaving, the rest are non factors so the greys would probably welcome it.

I would love Van Jefferson, kid is a player. My guess is he goes to Michigan.

Patterson and Jefferson are the only ones that SEC quality. The rest of solid backup players. I say make the bears play with those guys.

5 of those are freshmen, so hard to judge them by this year. Besides the 2 you listed, the others played in 35 games combined this year... not a small number

of who we're dealing with folks. They were under NCAA investigation and still were cheating and haven't quit from all accounts. Do you really think they won't go all in to keep some of these players? Sure they will.

With this year's seniors gone, they have 66 guys right now on scholarship. If 11 leave, (17% - that's more than a few), they have 55. They better hope like hades taamu doesn't leave and go somewhere like Lsu.

Yeah, I disagree. Who is the OM back up that could help them if needed?

Non-seniors have to apply for a waiver. Reported they would likely get it, but who knows

Yep - My guess is if luke was smart, and he isn't, he will gladly let those guys transfer and replace them with decent jucos or guys that can play. Since the NCAA only add two ****ing scholarships to their self imposed penalties, they will have the ability to do that.

Unbelievable.

They don?t have any depth now. This will affect their depth for sure.

My OM friend (who is reasonable and sane) was mentioning last week that they would reach out to Akers if Jimbo
Left. I laughed then. Today, it wouldn?t surprise me in the least.

Those guys played in multiple games this year and provide depth. Loss of depth is what kills you when on probation.

If Josh Rosen declares for the draft, it wouldn't surprise me to see Tamiflu transfer to UCLA and Chip Kelly for his senior year.

Well Shea isn't quick enough to get past our D, OM will screw it up regardless. Would cam have to sit out a year? Why would anyone who got national attention sit out a year if they can get a big paycheck in 2 years? I don't understand football. If I were Shea, lsu with some money, easy bc ole miss may go down while I'm there etc.

The big big pay they delay or drug bomb themselves -

I would look at taking van jefferson if we could somehow pull that off and Tony Gray Offensive Tackle

Gray looks to be a decent prospect- 6'5 290 3* .879 composite ranking was a Freshman this year

Gray had offers from Texas a and m, cal USCE and Baylor

DB Cam Ordway is also a decent prospect had a decent offer list 3* .881 composite ranking

Gabe Angel TE would be good fit for our O as well 4* TE had offers from KY, LSU, MSU, Tennessee, UNC,

Jacob Mathis Soph WR/TE 4* .8953 6' 3" 223 Had offers from Michigan, OM, BC, Arkansas, Florida, UGA, Miami, Ohio State, and Penn State just to name a few

Breon Dixon LB 4* .9055 composite Freshman offers from OM, Louisville, TCU, UGA, Auburn, Cal, Cincy, UF

All of those guys are pretty young. I would contact all of the above and see if any are interested.

This is sweet.

According to NCAA rules, "It is not necessary for an institution to obtain permission in writing to recruit a student-athlete at an institution that has been placed on probation with sanctions that preclude it from competing in postseason competition during the remaining seasons of the student-athlete's eligibility."

If they have 66 guys right now after seniors leaving, and will be able to sign 19, then, they be at full strength (or 79) starting next year, correct? Losing four more the next year puts them at worst at 75 before attrition. That should be pretty easy to handle.

Basically the only non-financial punishment was recruiting under a cloud in 2016 (which they just paid and lied their way around) and in 2017 (which hurt) and for part of 2018 (which will probably hurt, if not as bad as 2017).

A few transfers will hurt, but won't be anything major unless it's there is just a mass exodus or if the lose a key player where the dropoff is huge behind him. Haven't seen any evidence of that, but losing Shea will leave them incredibly thin at QB for next year.

Just updated, several of those guys are young and were pretty highly rated. I would definitely look at Gray, Dixon, Mathis, and Angel. Gray was a 3* tackle the rest were 4*s with a pretty good offer list.

They have 11 current commits and ranked mid-70s. They have work to do if they are gonna replace those guys

Low level transfers are what they need to fill up with quality athletes. The extra 2 scholly tacked on by those harassed at the NCAA will still allow them to sign full classes. UM won’t miss a beat.

I've been told Patterson to LSU is a done deal, so we may want to hope that he can't transfer. LSU with an actual QB could be interesting. Then again, I think he is overrated. He had what one good quarter against an actual SEC team.

I wish we could get Jefferson, really good player.

As for the rest, I wouldn't want a single one of those players on our roster. I'm sure the cheaters are happy to have them leave, frees up scholarships and probably lowers the payroll.

He is a true Sophomore with two year left to play. With only one more year of non bowl if he transfers he would have to sit a year.

He is probably going to hire Mars and claim they lied to him.

My guess is that he will go wherever his brother gets a job, because if shea shea leaves, his piece of shit brother will be out the door as well.

Better chance of him transferring here after getting the guy behind Saquon Barkley. That being said, were talking .0005% vs .0001%

Wouldn't surprise me the way things are going. Lost his coach, sit out a year because they aren't bowl eligible anyway.

You can bet some back door channels are being utilized on that front.

They are back in business, boys. Especially with in state kids.

Akers isn’t going to transfer .. that’s ****ing ridiculous . Kid isn’t going to go from starting at FSU as a soph to sitting out a year, to play one year at OM and declare for the draft..
