Penn State running backs coach Charles Huff will be joining Joe Moorhead at Mississippi State.

Chris Vannini of The Athletic reports, citing an unnamed source, that Huff will be Moorhead's co-offensive coordinator as well as the running backs coach and the assistant head coach.

Moorhead said during Thursday's introductory news conference that he would call plays for the Bulldogs, but that he would also have at least one person with the title of offensive coordinator.

Huff has been Penn State's running backs coach and special teams coordinator for four years, as James Franklin plucked him from Western Michigan when he arrived back in 2014.

We just us a special teams coach too maybe? HAHAHA

https://www.landof10.com/penn-state/charles-huff-mississippi-state-hire-joe-moorhead-penn-state

Huff was an assistant with the Nittany Lions since James Franklin took the job in 2014. He served as running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Penn State. Huff also worked with Franklin at Vanderbilt in 2011 and has previous coaching stops at Maryland, Western Michigan and with the Buffalo Bills.

http://onwardstate.com/2017/11/30/running-backs-coach-charles-huff-reportedly-to-join-joe-moorheads-bulldog-staff/\

Huff spent the last four years on Coach Franklin’s staff as the running backs coach and special teams coordinator. Huff was a member of James Franklin’s 2011 staff at Vanderbilt as the offensive quality control coach and they worked together at Maryland in 2009, when Huff was the assistant offensive line coach.
Huff has been instrumental in getting the most out of Saquon Barkley since he came on campus, but also coached kickers Tyler Davis and Sam Ficken to All-Big Ten Honors and punter Blake Gillikin.

I'd bet it'll be a WR coach- usually, when you have a play calling head coach, your two Co-OCs are a Running Game Coordinator and a Passing Game Coordinator. Since the first is a RBs coach, I'd put money on the second being WRs coach.

Apparently Tee is mad and is at the point he doesn't want to hear from them. UT is either costing themselves every decent coach they could get or they are going to have to crazy overpay for whoever they end up getting. I knew when they were fired up about Gruden that they wouldn't be happy with who they got. Gruden has made it known that he is extremely happy with his life now and he is paid very well for his job.

I saw someone mention Todd Graham that was just fired at Arizona St. He wouldn't be a bad hire or Rich Rod but probably not much of an upgrade from Butch.

I would imagine overpay and still not get the caliber of coach the Rocky Top fans want. That bunch needs to write a book, "Things You Shouldn't Do When Conducting A P5 Head Coaching Search". Volume II to follow.

Here is what the Shitbirds are doing:

Attack Leo Lewis and his credability. The COI transcripts will never see the light of day. So why not not make up a bunch of BS to make State look bad? Spin anyway you can to divert attention away from Ole Miss. Create doubt in the minds of recruits. It's info from "sources", so they can play it off when it isn't true to keep from getting sued.

Drag Coach Green into the fray. Coach Green is a longtime friend of the Lewis family. He is not a State booster in any way, shape, or form. So the NCAA doesn't give a shit about him and can't do anything to State about it. But why not murky the water as signing day approaches to attempt to make recruits nervous about State?

Get ahead of the sanctions release. Try to steer the message. Public Relations 101.

It's just more of what we have seen for the last 4 years. Tomorrow is the final blow to a school that tried to skirt the rules and be something they aren't.

MrKotter
11-30-2017, 08:34 PM
The only people that hear their message are primarily in the state of MS. The rest of the country has no clue what?s going on other than they are about to get fried. Getting worked up about what that idiot Godfrey writes or any of their other puppets is a huge waste of time.

My only question is why dothis so late in the game? I mean tomorrow no one will even remember this as they will be talking about the exodus off of the football team based on the sanctions.

This is merely a bitch move by a bunch of cry babies tryin to act like they're still above the fray when in fact they are the worst of the worst.

The real media is virtually ignoring it. Pat Forde just released an article about the overall shit show that is the off-field SEC right now. He alluded to it as ?shade throwing? and the act of a drowning man trying to take anyone down with them. Doesn?t even give details, but does link the article. Honestly, I wouldn?t be surprised if the COI addresses the whole Leo thing in their response - or releases and addendum after the fact - just to shut the shitbirds down.

All of this is for a potential lawsuit against the NCAA.

That’s exactly what they’re preparing for. They don’t know when to quit. They’re simply too arrogant to admit wrong doing. Been that way since segregation and it still countinues today.

Here’s a critical point: Scott Stricklin, former Miss State AD, who knows the details of this case just hired Dan Mullen to be Florida’s head coach. If there was any chance an NCAA investigation would follow Mullen, there would be ZERO percent chance Stricklin would’ve hired him. He’s not risking that hire with any legitimate threat of NCAA backlash. ZERO percent chance.

Also, DO NOT FEED the trolls. They’ve been caught lying to the media already. People know who they are now. The national media outlets will not fall for this crap. The clarion ledger obviously will pick it up and issue an apology to Ole Miss just for good measure, but the national media will not be tricked again. Their last hail marry just fell to the ground and tomorrow the plantation burns. It’s come! Sleep well tonight and enjoy an early Chsitmas tomorrow.

From the outside looking in- it seems to me they are trying to force the end of the NCAA through litigation and enter into a new era controlled by the P5. The problem is that they dont have any other schools on their side backing this play
