Everyone talking about Kiffin needs to just quit. The guy is not respected, he?s a side show. An arrogant prick that can coach a little bit. You hire that guy to get clicks and short term desperate publicity. We have a respectable program that it?s taken Croom and 9 years of Mullen to build and hiring Kiffin does nothing but set that back. Let somebody else hire Joey Freshwater, get a coupe of 9 win seasons and some National Enquirer headlines. I?m good without all that.

McElwan was house shopping on the golf courses. Kiffin is flying in tomorrow. Norvell will definitely get a look. Leach wants it. If nothing else, coaching searches are funny as hell to follow.

Yep. Some would rather have Monken or Moorhead....

Really Clark?

Yeah him taking that #1 USC team and driving it straight into a dumpster fire has me all giddy. This is the same guy that blew his shot at Houston HC job last year while telling the Bama team to kiss his butt at practice. Then scrambled to land a job

Remind me again... didn?t usc just get severe restrictions?

2009 usc under Carroll 9-4

2010 usc under Lane 8-5 (probation started)

2011 usc under Lane 10-2 (probation cont 2nd bowl ban)

2012 usc under Lane 7-6 (probation, but bowl eligible)

2013 USC under Lane 3-2 (fired)

Pretty tough blaming lane for not dominating while under carroll?s penalties.

If he's available rumors will always be there. He's as polarizing as any coach in football

Uh. It was KIffin's idea to delay the sanctions and appeal so they could play with the numbers and sign 31 kids his first year. The administration went along with his idea. So he has to bear that brain dead idea. And they still had 71 players for 2012. People act like he didn't even have a two deep of scholarship players. Then took that team and drove it off a cliff and managed to get himself left behind 5 games into the following season.

Losing record at tenn before he took over and he got them a bowl first year. FAU was 3-9 last season and they 9-3 (8-0). Guess that sucks too. He should be up for national coach of the year

I read like the first few posts of this thread....

I am now going to take a shot of whiskey & submerge my head in the hottub to deprive my brain of oxygen in hopes I can replace the lost brain cells.

Did Croom just sneak some credit for building our program? Let me reread that.

Tenn won 10 games in 2007. He didn't rebuild, they got 2 more wins than the previous year to go 7-6 in a very weak east and had the NCAA knocking in just one year. Not impressed with the Tenn job he did. Heck Dooley went 6-7 the following year.

He has had a really good first year in CUSA. He needs to do it for another year or two and keep himself clean.

Something wrong with Norvell. It’s been alluded to on this board and on radio that he is unhirable. If anyone knows why please feel free to share.

Yea I’ve heard that too but there’s still nothing definitive that’s out there. Better be something that causes jail time or a show cause for state to not entertain the idea of hiring him.

Kiffin is a great offensive coach and Fitz deserves one of those his senior year and Key deserves one his last two years after that. Our easiest path to 10+ wins next year is with Kiffin. He has Florida Atlantic top ten in the nation in scoring this year. He hasn't even been there for a full year and accomplished that. Seriously that is an amazing accomplishment. He signed their highest rated player ever in like two seconds after arriving. He is an iconic national brand type name. I absolutely want Lane Kiffin as head coach. Sign him up for $5 mill a year.

Lol. That?s some of what I?ve heard the last 24 hours. It?s insane and like drinking from a water hose. If any of those names ended up being our next head coach, I?d be pretty damn shocked.

Kiffin would out recruit Don Mullen for Florida from here and talk shit about it the whole time. If you want Mullen fired in less than five years let Kiffin do his magic. It'll be epic.
