Rosebowl mentioned him as a possibility and he runs an offense very similar to Dan. Was a very good head coach at Fordham. Not sure about him recruiting in the south though.

Damn good coach. Would make a great hire for someone. Just not sure he is the right fit for us in the SEC.

Has no ties to the SEC or even the southeast. I would have the same concerns Todd

Really Clark?

Very good coach. If he is a fit with the program and Cohen, don't worry about where he is from so much any more. His offenses have been very good every where he has been. And while it is a small school, he has HC experience. Would be very good IF he is a fit. He is a ball coach

ETA. Look at Cohen's direction. Younger very good ball coaches who may be hungry to run their own program. I do like this approach. There is a risk, but I like that he has a clear idea of what he is looking for

Thats a little concerning. We still need someone around who has ties to the SE recruiting scene.

I would echo the concerns about recruiting. If he could fill his staff with guys like Friend, Robert Gillespie, Looney, and etc. he could be a good fit. If he wants to bring his Yankee friends like Dan- maybe not.

I don't think Cohen is going to hire someone that can't recruit.

I posted in another thread an SI article how he developed his offense. Long Article, but good. SI and Yahoo recognized him back in April 2017 as the no 1 rising assistant coach in D1 college football.

Looks like a Mullen type recruiting class. BTW when looking at our 2018 class we are ranked high because we have 26 commits, more than most schools. We have 4 4stars and 22 3stars, LSU right behind us has 6 4 stars and 13 3 stars. Once everybody fills out we might be in the mid to late 20s in rankings.

Watched a couple of youtube interviews of him. High IQ , low energy guy. Like that he has head coaching experience (inherited a 1-10 Fordham program and went 6-5, 12-2, 11-3, 9-3) Offense has immediately improved at each school he has been an OC or Head Coach. He stresses the importance of running the ball to set up 1 on 1 matchups on the outside. He had a RB at Fordham run for back to back 1500 yards and won the Jerry Rice award (Best FCS player). He's definitely a heck of a coach.
