We need for several things to happen:

- We need a bowl game we can win. The better win (higher score) we can go home with the better we will look. It will demonstrate to the world that all is OK at MSU.

- We need our new HC to be on the side lines on Bowl Game day. It will show the world that nothing has changed. Out with the old and in with the new. It will also give the team experience with the new guy in practice. If he is good with the team (business like with expectations) the word will get around to the prospects. We need to show potential for success past this year and next year.

- We need to show our future prospects that there is still a reason for them to come to MSU. They were committed once and need to remain committed. A good Bowl game will help with that. Nothing like a phone call from the new coach after a decisive bowl game win.

Honestly, I don't care where we go or who we play, as long as we beat them with a respectable end of game score that shows stability and potential for the future.

We need to accept that the bowl game is a reward to the players for all their hard work and not worry about the outcome. Remember the Orange Bowl when we had lost our DC and looked like we forgot how to play defense? We have now lost almost our entire coaching staff and our starting quarterback. If we win then great but get as much work as you can in the practices and let the players enjoy the bowl game.
