Just curious. He's got one of the best instincts for winning out there. However, he seems to be a non starter for a HC position. Just curious as to why.

Because he's a goofy grass-eating mo-fo that won't recruit a QB***

If you are talking about here, he's too old, too old fashioned offensively , and we don't even have a fullback on the roster to run his worthless I formation

Because no one wants to run his offense & he was given ample time at LSU to change & evolve & showed he was incapable of doing so

He did just pretty good with elite talent. His NC was with Saban's recruits. Known to make boneheaded decisions at crucial times.

Is that really all? I thought it had to be some scandal. He makes it ugly, but he pulls victory out of his ass better than any other coach I've watched. Losing those close games is not necessarily necessary.

Les is a good person, but would fail badly with the MSU system.

Because unlike Saban- he refused to evolve on the offensive side of the football, which led to his firing. All he had to do was tweak his offense to more Spread and he would still be LSU's coach. He wouldnt do it tho.

I see that as a point in his favor. He was coaching to win the games, not so much to impress the spectators. I personally like that. Also, a coach that evolves in response to pressure is a coach that is not the boss. I don't like coaches who are not the boss.

But he wasnt winning games with top 5 talent

He was an average coach at a school stocked with talent that had no real in-state competition for recruits. He didn't develop QB's either. Combine those two points and it's a recipe for disaster at MSU.

Thats the point- he stopped winning games. He was averaging 10 wins per year and then started sliding

2016- 2-2

their offense got worse and worse and they stopped winning to the LSU standard

Heck even Odell Beckham said he would have rather been in Canada's offense than Miles. He said that this would be the perfect offense, for Landry and him to be in, that LSU is running now. Miles didn't want to adopt his offense to modern day football, and wanted to be old school. We don't need that.

Les Miles is the exact opposite of what this program needs to keep growing

I see your point. But for the record, LSU was 9-3 in 2015. Also, they would have been 10-3 had their first game (vs. McNeese) not been cancelled.

This is lifted from wikipedia:

The Tigers planned to open the 2015 season against the McNeese State Cowboys at home on September 5, however, several lightning delays caused the game to be cancelled. As a result, LSU will play a schedule of 11 regular season games for 2015. The Tigers officially opened their season on the road against conference and division rival Mississippi State on September 12. The other non-conference games on LSU's schedule are against Eastern Michigan, Syracuse, and WKU. This season will consist of the first meeting against the Syracuse Orange since the 1989 Hall of Fame Bowl where the Orange defeated the Tigers 23–10. Because of massive flooding to the Columbia, South Carolina area, both schools agreed to play the October 10th matchup at Tiger Stadium, while still treating it as a home game for South Carolina.
