Day is the Co-OC and was the OC under Adazzio as well. He was Chip Kelly's QB coach at Philly and SF. His system may be the best fit to maintain what we already do. Very strong Myer coaching tree type of coach

Very underwhelming list. It's part of why OM is sticking with Luke. We hire a nobody and they stay even with us. Then make a hire for some splash.

I don?t think Monken would be the guy for us. As the other thread said it was Chip Lindsey (current Auburn OC) that should get credit for the USM return to decency. We should really interview him. Our offensive personnel is built for his system

Actually I think he is close to getting a HC gig after this year or next. Did really well at BC as OC. Number 2 offense in ACC his last year I think.

My point about Kelly was more about the behind the scenes issues, losing his players and never had to build a program. Said he was a really good offensive coach with X's & O's.

Bad comparison. MSU is not Georgia.

Defensive guys tend to do better at bigger schools who are more natural recruiters. Then again, MS produces a ton of defensive talent so it?s not a bad idea to play to that strength. Especially if that guy is a good recruiter.
