Is his personal life the reason people don't want him?

What he did at USC with 55 scholarship players was very good. Also great at Bama and fau.

Not entirely sure why Strong wouldn't be a possible candidate. He's actually beat a top 5 team in the Sugar Bowl before.

He left Tennessee after 1 year and would leave FAU after 1 year if he takes a job now.
So yes, we'd definitely have to be OK with hearing rumors every offseason.

He underachieved at Louisville and was godawful at Texas.

Underachieved at Lville .. 11 - 2 and 12 - 1 his last 2 years with a Sugar win against #4 FL seems pretty good to me. Everyone sucks who goes to Texas .. Boosters run the coach there.

Name me a coach who will not leave us for a big time job. We can pay 5 million easy. That's no reason not to hire the best coach you can.

Kiffin just doesn't seem a fit for Starkville. It would certainly be a stepping stone.

I can see Kiffen going after the A&M job but not MSU.

We're in a tight spot right now. I'd be fine with Kiffin because he could score a ton with what we have next year. I do understand he might leave if he wins big, but I mean, that's the case with anyone we hire.
